Especially when he is attempting to force an already established business with the same name trademarked from using that name. Going as far as saying they don't deserve to use that name nor have the trademark, it is I who will use it better than that company. Glad that so far the patent and trademark office turned them away. They have not stopped however going to court to try and force another company to give up their established name because they deserve it more

I predict the usual suspects here and elsewhere will now commence going off the rails like a crazy train - almost as if they themselves are blissfully unaware of their programming.

I suspect most people will just see it as more meaningless blah blah from Trump.

Well why should they have to pick a new name just because someone else got it first?

lol.

According to their actual argument because "they are not using it like we would". Most entities in a trademark dispute would offer to pay for it. The Jewish publisher who owns does not want to sell as they have established the name for several years and have numerous published books under the name, but Obama's lawyers claim they are not using it properly...that's some self centered audacity

The irony is so rich through and through the deal it's almost too much.

The president who brought back legal use of domestic propaganda is unironically coming out with a show on morality? The guy who promised his base hope and change and being anti war extends into more theaters with a Bush like policy, and domestically was as pro big corporate as it gets?

Like, you can't make all this up.

No it doesn't make sense, since he is not a public servant any longer.
How could he be making billions on it?

He is a private citizen.

Doesn't stop congress members. Perhaps your emoluments argument should be directed there..

And then there are those posts you simply scroll right past because they are just not worth your time.

In other words: I scroll past posts because I don't have a rebuttal prepared.

Post are suspiciously quiet about that Congressional Slush Fund to pay off misdeeds. Seems that is the topic that most needs to be buried out of the bunch. Name and shame too good for habitual users of the fund?

I would love for the public to be given access to that list.
Every one of those needs to be out.

It was our money they used to pay off those claims. The public has a right to know which congressmen used the fund.

Slush fund has been around for decades. It was secret.

Almost ALL congress scumbags have been sued for sexual abuse and this "slush fund" paid monetary damages in SECRET.

Taxpayer money used by congressional whores (both men and women)

TERM LIMITS FOR CONGRESS!! TWO TERMS ONLY!!

They were still the party of "NO!" after 8 years of training. Republicans are falling in line with the new successful way to doing things.

Speaking of which, Republicans had better have a REAL ObamaCare replacement ready to unveil before the Dim/Repub conventions. Healthcare is the only area where Democrats hold a slight edge, at the moment.

You can say that again. There are many, many members of Congress who have somehow become millionaires from the rather paltry salary that representatives and senators earn. It's a near-certainty that they are taking money under the table. It's almost impossible that they aren't, because they shouldn't be capable of earning the kind of wealth they have based on their known income.

And yet Trump has consistently lost money as president, and they're hounding him about emoluments because people occasionally stay at one of his properties while on official business.

It's a textbook example of deflection.

I will believe that when I see it

Were it not for calls for gun confiscation, outright socialism, and higher taxes, I might have changed my vote, but the dnc is insane.
