In a similar thread I posted a video about someone who explains it in great detail.

The math behind it and how "fast" that thing was > not < going. It is all angles and perception. It was a chase of a single engine aircraft and the video you talk about was released by a German in 2007.

My opinion:
Military knows damn well what that is, so are the pilots in the chasing aircraft. The intentions behind all this? Disclosure? Info warfare? Who knows?

The video is most likely a misidentified earthly aircraft
It looks like it's saucer shaped due to lens flaring effect
And it appears to rotat yet probably doesnt in actuality, there is an effect caused by gimbal FLIR systems that rotates the lens flare independently of the actual object being observed
Misidentified by our own military? I believe it's your patriotic duty to set them straight before this goes any further. Please contact the Pentagon immediately.Boy, are they going to feel silly.

LOL Mick West fans drive me nuts..

You're right. The video as released is not the entire thing, which is apparently with better resolution. The Navy has NOT released the entire video. This is what we have for public consumption, along with the Nimitz video.

They also have not ever released the "chain of custody documentation" that TTS yelled about as proof it's legit, when they caught flack from people who think. "Hey, you haters, there is chain of custody documentation, so quit hating!" Yet they've never actually shown that "chain of custody" documentation.

Yes they did Kansas girl.

So is this the new mantra now...."Chain of command or it didn't happen"?
Lack of access to the chain of command does not preclude something from being factual. It just doesn't.

Chain of custody. The small details are important here.

It's these 'little' things that keep chipping away at the credibility of what is supposed to be a multi-million dollar company with a Global Security Director, A National Security Advisor and former punk rock singer on their board.

GIMBAL is the first of three US military videos of unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP) that has been through the official declassification review process of the United States government and has been approved for public release.

This footage, and all official USG footage you will see on TTS Academy’s Community of Interest (COI), comes with essential chain-of-custody

GIMBAL: AUTHENTICATED UAP VIDEO (TTSA official web page archive)

But the videos were not approved for public release according to communications from the US DoD. They were approved for internal government only per the released documentation.

Nor have TTSA ever produced the chain of custody documents that they brazenly claimed (and to date still claim) on their website.

Add to that the possible flouting of government rules for using (and adding company logos) to those videos.

USE OF NON-PUBLIC INFORMATION:

Even though you have left Government service, you still may not use non-public information to further your own private interests, or those of another, including your subsequent employer.....

ogc.osd.mil...

Then the claims that they lobbied the US Navy to change their UFO policies.

The Pentagon are often contradictory with information too in what may well be a high stakes game.

So it doesn't mean it didn't happen. But what is happening?

Oh yeah...chain of custody, my bad.
What's happening now? Whats happening is that the military/ government has some reason to worry that the UFO phenomenon is going to become too obvious to all to be able to debunk it or dismiss it. And they must feel it's going to be startling enough that they need to get out in front of it and get us to start considering the reality of it ahead of time.

It was about 10 years ago that there was buzz on the internet that the government had a 10 year "Acclimation Project" in place to use media to gradually get us used to the idea that aliens are real and they are here. I think we may be in the end stages of the Acclimation Project.

From what I have "heard", the longer video of the "Unidentified Flying Blob" has made its way around certain personalities in ufology. I have to stress "allegedly" here.

Jeremy Doorbell claims to have seen it, he admitted as much in an interview on fade to black last year, don't think many picked up on that.

They've been saying that since the 50s. Walt Disney's 1955 "Man and the Moon" special, starring Aryan Superman Werner Von Braun, has a nice little image of an alien base on the far side of the Moon (@ 1:23). You'd think we'd be acclimated by now.

Not only that, how many individual years since the 1950s have started with the clarion call, "Disclosure Will Occur THIS Year!"

The only governmental disclosure will be the disclosure that they never had anything to disclose in the first place. They're in the same boat as us, just with added alphabet agencies and ex-alphabet men continuously toying with ufology and creating their own myths down the decades.

PS: The Phenomenon itself is probably giggling from the sidelines. Taking notes.

If by 'we' you mean us ATSers....then, yeah, we're pretty well acclimated. But the general population...only about half of them. Think about your neighbors and coworkers...do they spend much time even thinking about these things?

Perhaps "the phenomenon" is doing research for a book...something along the lines of "How to confound and confuse humans without really trying".

Did you happen to "hear" what they saw in the full video?

If the phenomenon exists at all.

Is not possible that there are multiple phenomena or even that a product of the phenomenon is creation from our own inner selves and exists only within the experience of the experiencers and nowhere else.

Or a combination of all of the conjectured explanations. The primary common element seems to be the way they have a tendency to just "disappear." There seem to be a lot of them. Where the hell do they all go when they vanish or zoom off into the horizon? Into space? Into the ocean? Into another dimension? Either way, first they're here... then they're gone.

That's an interesting way of saying some people just imagined that they saw them. And seriously with most things it's rarely either or...but actually a little bit of both. So yes the UFO phenomenon doesn't have to be either this or that but could be many things...as you said.
