Government Orders Google To Let Employees Express Unpopular Political Views

Google just reached an agreement with the National Labor Relations Board, where they've basically agreed that they'll stop punishing employees who express conservative views.

In what appears to be a huge victory for Google employees who don't ascribe to the ultra-liberal Silicon Valley monoculture, the National Labor Relations Board has reached a settlement with Google over complaints that the search giant punishes employees for speaking out on political and workplace issues that don't comport with the company's agenda.

The settlement, which was reportedly approved by an agency director this week, according to WSJ, comes in response to a pair of complaints filed by conservative employees about how the company handles workplace dissent.

We'll see if Google actually follow thru on this. Tesla, for example, has a long history of flagrantly ignoring promises it makes to government agencies.

Cool. I'm all for workers' rights over corporate rights.

It's a labor relations board. Fines or injunctions could follow if Google doesn't keep it's promises.

Couple this with the massive state-led antitrust investigations, and it does appear that the winds of change are blowing.

probably fines and then ammunition for litigation that they are not following the laws they agreed to. In which some "victims" could bank some pretty heavy rewards.

Google owes me money because with out me sponsors would have one
less viewer for advertisements! And so on And so on etc etc etc.

Income as a result or not, we can count on this being tested quickly, and hopefully in high profile ways.
