EXCLUSIVE: Founder of Snopes (Far Left Moral Purveyor of Truth in the Media) Allegedly Embezzled $98,000 for Prostitutes During His Divorce

David Mikkelson, the guy who founded Snopes (AKA Google's designated Minister of Truth) allegedly embezzled $98,000 from his company to spend on prostitutes. This allegation comes from divorce proceedings.

No wonder Snopes' website has a banner begging for donations.

This is the guy who we are supposed to trust to tell us what rumors are true or false, according to our digital overlords.

I think most would be more worried about the money embezzling than the hookers, but if we just HAVE to bring Trump up then no I don't care who uses hookers.

With how John Podesta used Snoops to respond to questions raised in the DNC hack has me labeling snoops as false. It was kinda funny to hear John say 'Snoops debunked it, i am innocent'. I am sure they do get somethings right, too much politics for me to trust them.

Actually this story has been going on for a couple of years and is nothing new. Not sure about hookers per se, but embezzling money for an "extravagant lifestyle" (lavish vacations, etc. ) is definitely in question.

Some of the allegations were dismissed in a California court 2 years ago but the bulk of allegations wont come to trial until this coming spring.

Doesn't anybody here remember when he had to start a Go Fund Me account to pay his legal fees?

Doesn't even have to be a divorce. For over a year - when I was in the oilfield and making good money - I would get notices for my truck note, mortgage, and other bills that were late. When I asked my then-wife why, she would always say she just mailed the money off. In 2003 when we separated, I was getting some things out of the closet and noticed a box of checks for Bank One way back in the back of the closet behind some things on the top shelf. When I pulled the box down, it was a box of checks with her name only and the address for the statements would go to Red River Chevy where she was working. After I confronted her about it, she told me she had to do that because she had to have money saved up in case we split up. We weren't having any marital issues when she opened that account and started taking my money.

44.Mikkelson’s purported business expenses in the second half of 2016 also included tens of thousands of dollars in travel expenses, which, on information and belief, were actually for personal travel—including a honeymoon to Asia with Mikkelson’s new wife (and Bardav/Snopes employee) Elyssa Young in November or December 2016.
