Seeking asylum is not breaking the law.
This is just #headedness. Sneaky phuckery. To keep his base engaged.
You know since he couldnt get mexico to pay for the wall and all. And that was his promise.
He failed in that so he needs to be a major schitehead and cruelty provider to show how tough he really is.
To get some idiots to vote him in again.

Seeking asylum after illegally crossing the border IS breaking the law .
In most countries.

Denying ignorance
Why ?
Some try their best to show it in public.

Obama deported more illegals than any other President and the pic of " kids in cages " was during his administration.

Where was your outrage then ?
Did you call him the " child abuse in chief "

Waiting for a link to your thread trashing Obama.

....you do have one right ?
Otherwise you'd just be a hypocrite.

So why is the same treatment being applied to people that legally seek asylum at a border crossing?

As of July 27, 2018, the United States Department of Defense lists 2,305 servicemembers as having died in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan.

Who cares about those children "separated" from their parents?
We should be taking care of those FIRST.

Seeking asylum is not breaking the law.

This is the other erroneous talking point that was published for dissemination by the sycophants and his base.

None of them actually bother to fact check the information though.

If its said by trump then its assumed that its correct.

Why? You got me...

"Ohhh the children" "save the children" "doesn't anybody care about the children"

I'm tired of people trying to use children as a scapegoat. No, some of us don't give a rats ass about the children, why is it our responsibility to take care of other people's children for them?

Not true.

To obtain asylum through the affirmative asylum process you must be physically present in the United States. You may apply for asylum status regardless of how you arrived in the United States or your current immigration status.
You must apply for asylum within one year of the date of their last arrival in the United States...

So why should an American citizen, who is robbing a home, car, etc. in the effort to "make a better life for themselves and/or their family" while breaking US law be separated from their children, but illegal immigrants coming into our country to "make a better life for themselves" while breaking US law not be separated from their children? Please tell me why we should play "favorites" with our laws and treat illegal immigrants any differently than US citizens who break our laws.

The law does not matter. Being right, whether with edicts or a sharpie, is the important thing.

Since you guys want to keep using this comparison, what happens to the children of convicts? They are either given to next of kin or become wards of the state. They are not imprisoned in conditions worse than what their parents are experiencing.

The law is written to include people who crossed any portion of the border.
It expressly includes those who come across at points other than legal entry points.

If they can't admit that this is perfectly legal we know their basic character and comprehension skills are seriously flawed.

The intelligent amongst them will quietly exit the thread saying nothing.
