Strife in Hong Kong causes great trouble for the high up in the CCP as they cant get American dollars if the place is in turmoil. Many of them have offshore business which require the HK Banks to orchestrate. During this trouble time, another bank in China has deferred payments on an American dollar bond for a year which is essentially a default. Which makes it look like , they have transferred all American dollars into something else, and are running low, judging by a blog I read fear is spreading with regards to the latest devaluation, and their has been fighting in the streets outside of bullion shops as the shops are having to close early, silver is selling at over 30% spot. So Inflation might be of some real concern.
