Gretel and Hansel

I love dark Fairy tales, it's how they were meant to be! this new movie looks pretty good, has tones of ''The Witch'' running through it, which I loved.

The name reversal is kind of off putting, but I suspect it is to differentiate it from others, or because Gretel seems quite a bit older and maybe takes Centre stage? either way, I like the look of it.

Well, Gretel was the hero in the original story anyway. She baked the witch.

I also noticed it's the girl who was in ''IT'' and ''Sharp objects'', that girl has got some acting chops and will be in lead roles for years.

In this version the witch is actually a man posing as a woman to hide his toxic masculinity that would surely give him away as being evil.
