Did you watch the video? Your retirement wont be anything if this country falls. You seem to have the attitude of, "They came for this, but I was not that". Your not safe either.

I live on 400 or so acres in Montana, have a nice river running through it, am in a position to grow food all year long, have an orchard, berry patches, 40-50 elk that sleep in the north pasture in the winter.

I've a pond stocked with trout and bass. I'm offgrid... a combination of hydro-solar. I have no bills besides my property taxes and an internet connection, which I essentially pay by selling a wine that I make.

I barter with a lot of people in the area and have skill sets that I will always be in demand for.

When I retire I won't need the money.

And judging the current Democratic push for full-on tyranny, I'll probably be safer if the country falls.

You may need to worry a little more than I am...

You are in a much better situation than my family and I, but we also made a lot of preparations in case of an economic crash. We live close to a river but high enough, about 19 feet, just in case it floods. There is lots of fishing and wildlife around here, and I have some off grid batteries and systems that recharge the batteries by pedaling.

We have less than an acre but enough to plant food. We have a lemon tree, it's still small but gives a lot of lemons, as well as a blueberry and tomato bushes which are in pots in the house because they would die in the winters here. We are thinking about planting an apple tree but the cold temperatures of where we live can surpass the cold apple trees can survive under.

We have over a year of supplies and food we keep recycling also just in case.

People should be prepared as much as they can imo. Even the greatest of civilizations have crashed and burned because people were not prepared.

Everything ends... that's the way of civilizations.

Not saying it's going to happen tomorrow, but the wise people prepare.

I lost my income once for about 6 months... kept the business going but needed to pay the people that kept it going so that we could keep going.

We lived on what we had, bartered a bit and were just fine.

My father called it food insurance.

So it's not only for the end of the world... it's about being prepared for life's little ups and downs.

Besides... is there anything better than eating a meal from your own property?

To me, that's the definition of freedom.
