Very catchy.

I think the cat is out of the bag. Music is leading the way out of localism. In the 50s rock and roll led the way by utilizing beats and phrasing of other ethnicities than the monolithic culture that had preceded it.

In the 60s the fusion of American style and English styles of rock furthered this diversification. The Beatles introduced the sitar and tabla to the youth of Western Culture and it has gone on from there.

As the world becomes more open to other cultures, the music will continue to offer the youth seeking new sounds a plethora of fusions from the all over the world. In the piece you offer I hear western instrumentation along with what could be Jamacian beats and what sounded like lyrical and melodies of Eastern origin.

Back in the fifties, rock was labeled satanic. In the sixties it was labeled satanic by those who feared the integration of world musical cultures.
