Don't get me wrong - I don't have any great love for the Tories, more anti lefty, really. The thought of Corbyn and McMao in power frankly terrifies the bejasus out of me.

Something else we agree on. I am broadly left wing on most issues but can't stand Corbyn.

That earnest woke any trendy cause leftism of his actually makes me want to vote UKIP.

Where I disagree with ardent brexiters is the idea that a second referendum is undemocratic.

Seems a bit like "keep voting until you get the result you want" to me.

Sounds like you are worried there would be a different result to me.

What was wrong with the first one? Not worried really, look at the size of the popular vote for the Brexit Party last time round.

Meh I dont like corbyn I dont believe he is a marxist , as he said that he doesnt think Scottish independence is a good idea , yet it was Marxist John Maclean who said the abolition of the Union would allow socialist workers republics to flourish.
Dismantling the Union was the first step towards the socialist republic and thats what the global socialist movement demanded the end to imperialism .

He may or not be a Marxist but we can safely assume is quite a bit left of centre....

There ends that beautiful friendship.

Still at least that was pre Tommy Robinson's involvement.

Just thought I'd throw this in whilst we seem to be on the subject of the left wing of the Labour Party - very funny - John McDonnell on Desert Island Discs courtesy of Deadringers:

As I have said before, whist I am clearly no Farage fan, I think he deserves credit for his stance on what UKIP have become and it's association with TR.

I see the "justice by any means necessary group" have planned their anti government protest to coincide with the queens speech but have been out protesting just now ! and police already making arrests etc

Looks like there will be lots of protests going on now

I read a lot of their placards state " they killed innocents in green fell"

I just think that how sad it is , yes those people died and it was the governments fault , but marching for it wont work

we already tried that for the 1 million plus they murdered in Iraq and the government done # all .

Disagree with the man on most subjects and think he comes across as a total dick.

However he has rightly condemned Robinson and UKIPs association with him.

You cant really blame anyone for trying to distance themselves from the likes of Tommy Robinson !

There are several members on this site who would happily share a long hot (prison) shower in the wee hours of the morning with Robinson.

ONE in PARTICULAR springs to MIND.

Yeah yeah - heard it all before. Freedom fighters.. legends in their own minds.. fighting the evil of the UK govt in support of the benevolent overlords in Brussels.

Whilst you're playing at that, the REAL fight to ensure democracy wins is still raging. We'll know if freedom wins on November 1st.
