If all it would be is another agency where hardworking people are forced to pay to follow a lot of complicated regulations while rich people with clever lawyers and accountants are able to float past and continue to pump money into offshore banking accounts, then no. We already have plenty of those.

It's coming down to Warren vs Sanders. (Biden will be shamed out of the race.)

I thought that was just a joke. Wow.. I'll have to look that up.

It look like the election may come down to Trump vs Pocahontas, because Bernie Sanders may have suffered a mild concussion during this boxing session.

One would think Biden would have been sniffed out of the race by now for being Creepy Joe all those years.

So here’s my question. At what point is corporate freedom too much? Should we leave corporations and the economy largely unregulated While they destroy our economy?

The large industries have massively inflated our costs, in the realms of housing, healthcare and education specifically but it runs to some degree or another through all industries. They have arbitrarily raised prices, specifically in the pharma industry is one good example, where there has been little to no innovation over the last 15 years, with far fewer new meds or medical miracles, and to make up for it they just drastically increase the costs of existing meds, while using market controls and bribery to extend patent lifetimes.

At the same time they’ve engaged in wage fixing, artificial scarcity, and price fixing to increase profits. So at the same time they keep our wages stagnant, they drastically increase our costs of goods and services, without an added quality or value that those goods or services provide. These extra costs are translated directly to an increase in our need for wages. And the current working class push for higher wages reflects this, though they are written off as lazy or entitled.

The effect of this is that American labor has been priced out of the manufacturing market, because their wages would have to be high enough to support the ballooned costs of the housing bubble, education, healthcare, as well as all the other things the us artificially keeps costs inflated on like sugar, which we pay far more for than the rest of the world, and is in almost everything.

Lastly the corporations promised us cheaper goods if they were allowed to move their industries to other nations with cheaper labor, but this has not happened. Our middle class and manufacturing jobs have all been sent to other poor countries, and yet the price of Nike’s or iPhones or everything else for that matter, has not dropped. What has happened is that those companies took those jobs and taxes with them, charge us the same or more for the products, and pocket the extra profit. That’s 3 ways we’ve been screwed by them.

They claim higher wages or taxes will require higher costs, as if it’s just logic. However, when they are allowed to pay lower wages and have their taxes cut there is no corresponding drop in prices. See my logic here? They’ve largely destroyed the middle class and turned the us into a service economy where less and less people have the ability to purchase the products they’re making, or even make ends meet.

Should corporations and the wealthy elite have the freedom to make obscene unfettered profit if the cost is the destruction of the American economy and society?

How are you going to pay $15/hr when your product has been price capped by Warren’s new department to 39 cents?

Many, many, many ways to have absolute control of an economy.

I agree with a lot of what you are saying I just don't trust Liarwatha Warren or anyone on the Left to do anything about it. you can bet your last nickel whatever regulations or rules the Left puts in place, it will only benefit them and their cronies.

The problem is not the creepiness, which our current President is wallowing in, it's Biden's lack of chutzpah to get away with it.

Thats cool, I’m not a huge fan of hers either. But in that case, who would you propose? Every single current republican is firmly in the pocket of the economy destroyers (I like that better than the “job creators” lie)? If it’s not changed our society is going to explode at some point, which is sooner rather than later I expect.

Fdr said the best thing he ever did was saving capitalism. He did this by taxing the wealthy massively, creating 12 million government jobs to employ people that the private sector wasn’t, creating social security, welfare, unemployment benefits etc. He did this because the working class mobilized, under the unions, afl/cio communists and socialists, and the civil rights groups went to him and told him there would be a revolution if he didn’t.

The inequality today surpasses any time since the roaring 20’s. Is someone going to step in and save capitalism again? Because one thing the wealthy elite have never, in history, ever been able to do is to temper their greed enough to allow the working class enough scraps to maintain a reasonable standard of living. They always take and take until society explodes into revolution, civil war, or societal collapse.

Price controls have been used in the past to stabilize the economy.
Everyone is aware of the Fight for $15 movement to more than double minimum wage.

Do you think for a second that this little project wouldn’t use every trick it could to try to make it work?
