Alright Mr. Andy I have my skeptics FACE on this morning so
at the risk of repeating a question that might have been asked
already ( I only skimmed over the thread ). But can we really trust
google earth not to have tampered with these images? Perhaps
using a technology that isn't detectable?

What if all these images are just some time consuming discovery game
being played on us. You know show us a bunch of oohz n aahz to just
occupy the minds of people with nothing more than a diversion tactic?
For those with open eyes. I think about how everything seems to be
geared towards keeping our minds busy.

Our attention deflected with our gadgets and phones and sports and
entertainment and work and paying bills and our families and holidays.
education for our kids. Think of the tons of people out there right now
believing they are really on to something. Glued to their PCs without
any consideration to the very high possibility that they are being played
for fools in just one more highly addictive way. And I ask myself. What
in the hell could it be that someone don't want us to see? That's my
question because it certainly isn't these images.

Funny how the faces always have a resemblance to primate features. So
the joke is staring us right in the FACE? I know, I get out there a ways.

Where Antartica is concerned anything is possible i suppose.

Take for instance the Piri Reis Map, now where did that come from or was copied?

I'm as skeptical as the rest buddy, but there are limits, so no firmament scenarios, but I'm open to the existence of an antediluvian civilization, Antarctica may indeed be just the place.

I site a correlation. Admiral Birds description of evil and the place
called Tartarus. Where Azreal was bound in the ice to the end of times
Which could be now more than anytime in history obviously. The
fallen angles and giants of old were frozen there. Antarctica is the place
where all the worlds GEMS and riches were dumped after mining. Bird
didn't lie and he wasn't delusional. Even in his recognition of evil.

Truth is we do not yet possess, or are only just beginning to develop, the necessary equipment and technologies, to be able to extensively explore the greater part of the interior of Antartica.

200 mph winds, −60°C temps at the highest parts of the interior, nevermind wind chill factors of minus -150°C to contend with, make doing so somewhat problematic nevermind downright dangerous bordering on suicidal.

Definitely fits the bill in my opinion. And now the frozen prison is melting
away the suspended animation. Supposedly. in theory or anybody's guess.

I don't imagine there will be much left around of any "frozen prisons" or much else regarding any ancient civilizations that existed in the area considering the ice sheet, averaging around 1.6 kilometers thick, which covers 98% of the continent.

Even if its nowhere near as old as we think it is, and current estimates place the formation at around tens of millions of years ago, there is not going to be much left around.

My guess is if we did find any ruins on the continent, they may be Phoenician or even Viking.

I think the poles became cool enough to become amenable to life a lot sooner.

(Kind of like how the temperature on mars made it possible for life to take hold in a few million years.)

It was cool enough for dinosaurs not to develop to gigantic proportions there (Antarctica.)

Or it was cool enough for refugees from Mars to establish a base there.

Until it froze over and they migrated to the south Americas.

Just my musings on the matter.

Viking? I always assumed their time period would have began much
to recent for that. I suppose they could have been the remnant of a much
earlier culture tho now that you mention it.
