Houthis Claim They Killed 500 Saudi Soldiers, Guardian Says

Houthi rebels in Yemen say they have killed 500 Saudi soldiers, captured a further 2,000 and seized a convoy of Saudi military vehicles.

The extraordinary claims at a press conference on Sunday, involving still photographs and inconclusive videos of captured soldiers, many not in uniform, could not be corroborated, and there was no independent confirmation from Saudi Arabia.

Official story from the Saudi gov't is: King's personal bodyguard goes to friend's house, gets into an argument with another friend there, then the other friend leaves the house, comes back later with a gun, shoots King's bodyguard and 2 others, then security forces arrive which gunman shoots 5 police, who finally kill him. 🤔

I saw that photo earlier today elsewhere. My understanding it was taken when he was a young buck LT platoon leader with the 82 Airborne Division hours before jumping into Grenada. That op was a pure cluster that only by the grace of God and pure tenacity the US military was able to pull off. Lots of crazy things on that one and a lot of good special operators died over.

At least 130 State Dept. officials notified of possible ‘culpability’ in ‘security incidents’ related to Hillary’s private email server

As many as 130 officials have been contacted in recent weeks by State Department investigators — a list that includes senior officials who reported directly to Clinton as well as others in lower-level jobs whose emails were at some point relayed to her inbox, said current and former State Department officials. Those targeted were notified that emails they sent years ago have been retroactively classified and now constitute potential security violations, according to letters reviewed by The Washington Post.

State Department investigators began contacting the former officials about 18 months ago, after President Trump’s election, and then seemed to drop the effort before picking it up in August, officials said.

Senior State Department officials said that they are following standard protocol in an investigation that began during the latter days of the Obama administration and is nearing completion.
