Who's going to pay for the infra structure the returning corps will need to gear up mfg. again. The stock holders, the company themselves? I think we all know it will be the middle class taxpayers, just like always with the WARS for profit.

And with everyone working according to trump. Who will staff the returning industries. Mexicans...lol

Let's be practical....Legal or not, it just ain't happenin. Americans are so addicted to Walmart cheap sh!t, they will never kick the habit.

Maybe the people making all the garbage in Hollywood can get real jobs in manufacturing and do something useful for a change.

Maybe they can. But if you really feel that way, don't watch any TV< netflix, or movies on that 50in smart TV.
I know you meant it as a personal insult, but I feel blessed to be in a creative industry, with creative people and a strong community. I'm at work now on location in the EPK trailer downloading todays rushes. Union Proud, Union Strong.
I have been insulted on ATS so much, it has little effect but keep it up...it keeps me real, and aware of how lucky I really am, to be manufacturing dreams, fantasy and escape for many people around the entire planet.
Peace, my sad angry brother!

Lucky to be working around pedos?

Once again you helped to make the thread about ME....I feel so special, how about you?

Pretty interesting perspective from you, considering the left doesn't think conservatives should be on tv.

Just ask Sean Spicer how that's worked out for him on Dancing with the Stars.

A couple people touched on his authority lightly early in the thread.

Whatever authority he might have, has not much use in the real world of economics.

Ford motors is going elsewhere, perhaps as a matter of necessity, and certainly their China built cars would/will be hammered by Trump tariffs for instance..as will many of the vehicles most used in the US will be.

Thing is Trump tariffs have already cost the auto industry $billions, and if it continues, they will simply headquarter somewhere else, nor will they necessarily absorb all the costs themselves.
Trump needs to get real, it's just a fact of life that switcheroos just don't happen overnight, nor do they happen so much in the lifetime of a solitary president.

Trump is costing the US economy $billions already, just by opening his gub and putting it on paper, this is what you have got, deal with it, properly or just shut up.

I'm fine with GOP conservatives being on TV. In fact I worked for our local GOP last pres. election in their media production studio, shooting campaign spots, writing copy, producer/director/sound recording...all around media whore. And years before that...for Gov. Gary Johnson where I learned the ropes as an intern/PA... I expect to be working on some campaign when the next rodeo rolls around. Dream job actually.

I feel sorry for Sean Spicer, he tried hard and was still thrown under the bus. But being on TV, he's SAG/AFTRA now. Good luck Sean, welcome to the Biz!!!

I understand ya. I even brought a different version of the pressure that can be applied up earlier in the thread . Google and other companies don’t need to move. But the sanctions will cause all US companies to at least shut down in China. Which will probably hurt their economy worse than the tariffs .

Trumps the reason for my signature .

Hollywood and the mainstream media are running out of accusations and names. So they’re coming up with new versions of them .

Technically that makes them recyclers .

As far as economics go. He’s worth around $3 billion how are you doing do? Should him and his advisers listen to your advice ? Trumps not making these decisions by himself the advisers have input too. He has pushback in his administration and he has agreement in his administration .

Any disagreement is held up like gospel any agreement is held up as sacrilege . I’d like someone to tell me one time on earth were Big thinkers agreed with each other. It doesn’t happen .

When this began China they had a 25% import tax on automobiles plus a 17% VAT tax . They promised to drop it then and reneged . When those go down which they will after the election because China is holding out for the Democrats who are promising to drop them . For political advantage with their base . They’re will be a hell of an automobile market of 1.5 billion people .

Clinton threatened a 100% tariff against Japan on automobiles. Did you hear anything from Hillary and the rest of the Democratic peanut gallery ? No they were behind it. Every argument you’ve stated I heard in the 1970s . When Japan was forced to drop there tariffs against American automobiles . Guess what none of the doom and gloom came to fruition it didn’t devastated automobile manufacturers .

Anyway if they moved and they won’t with the IEEP in effect. It sure as hell won’t be China .

Of course switchovers don’t happen overnight. Nothing that big happens overnight. ( except the lottery ) lol

Which is the argument you just made.

Yet you’re also talking about how ineffective they are now in the here and now.

Do you noticed the flaw in that logic ?

People dismissing the tariffs at every turn just don’t want trump to succeed. Which means they don’t want America better off or a level playing field for future generations .

They sacrifice the US to trash talk because they’re too emotionally involved and can’t think rationally .

Pure unadulterated hate is the most dangerous emotion of all .

Olaru.......

It isn't a legal thing if it is just stated in a tweet. It needs an official document filed to be legal. The president does have executive rights, but I doubt if any president would push big companies like that. It is just a tweet, basically it means little to nothing.

So after reading every single national emergency acts that are still active or have ended and I was surprised.
For one, I can now understand why Iran hates America, and see why south / central America have struggled so much.
Two, what's the beef between Nicaragua and the Republicans?

Finally, non of the acts that were enabled have anything close to what trump is proposing. The question then becomes what do any of those companys owe to the US as a nation when they operate within the global market? The constitution is based off the principles of the wealth of nations pretty much, stepping on free market is morally wrong and bad business practice for free enterprise.

As someone said earlier here, the Republicans economic war is failing, you cant castle yourself in and expect everyone outside of it to trade with you. It's called free market for a reason.

Are we pretending that many if not most of the products at Walmart are not made in America? What specific infrastructure do you imagine middle class taxpayers (who only pay a small percentage of total taxes) will be on the hook for?

That's why Mexico and Canada basically resolved the tariffs in their favor?

China is hurting, obviously, they are being hit the hardest. But it's also hitting America in it's own way as well. You have to be rather one track minded to think China will come out in shambles from this economic circus.

When you make such a bold move as to essentially demand company's to return all production back into the walls of a nation, that's castling in your economy and it's not a good sign things are going well. This is a straight path to national socialism to be honest.

I guess that depends on what you're talking about. Economics isn't something he's ever come close to showing a rudimentary understanding of.

Really? is that why the economy is a lot better under him?... Please don't make me laugh... You are part of the crowd whom believe every stupid claim that comes out of AOC when she is the one, amongst all democratic candidates, whom have shown not to know crap about economics...

Nothing POTUS Trump is doing is even close to "national socialism" and if anyone will implement ANY form of socialism it is your crowd/party...

Yet the economy and job market are doing much better than it was under Obama... Perhaps you should be the one to shut up for making false claims... And please, don't try to give links to any of the FAKE NEWS from your left-wing media when the truth is the opposite to what they keep on claiming...

I don't praise socialism. I just understand it and know how to defend its certain perks. National socialism is not a good sign by any means.
