Again, in that regard it's apples to oranges, though. People don't get to choose to work with politicians... those who's careers are dependent on assisting politicians are stuck assisting those who We the People elect, period. The music industry may be a different animal. You propped Eddie van Halen... it has affected his ability to retain guitar techs (obviously, though, it hasn't impacted his ability to replace them)
www.vhnd.com...

After nearly half a million total votes were cast, Eddie Van Halen has been named the victor in Guitar World's first-ever Greatest Guitarist of All Time poll.

Look at how it impacted his popularity and legacy outside of your circle of music insiders! My God, if he wasn't an arrogant asshole he might actually have an additional couple hundred fans to add to his millions of admirers.

My point is that it doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. Humanity is, by our very nature, arrogant. As Kid Rock said "They say I'm cocky and I say "What? It ain't bragging mfer if you back it up." That's how the majority of the world rolls, friend.

In the context of EVH, it's not the fans that need to worry about his ego. The dude spent 15 years holed up in his house, addicted to meth and slugging cheap wine from the bottle because no one wanted to be around the guy. Fans don't matter in situations like that, but having people in your close circle who can help pick you up when your down do. His behavior and attitude pushed all those people away until his son gave him an ultimatum that, thankfully, kicked him in the ass and he got his sh!t together. The people outside my circle of music insiders don't mean sh!t in his life, but losing your family and friends is not a positive thing. But if that's the point you want to make, look how many VH fans have been unhappy that as great of a guitarist as he is and as many outstanding songs he's written, it all came to a grinding halt after '98. Then when he went on tour in the 00's, he continuously let down fans because his performances were so terrible.

The original point was, humility goes a long way. It's perfectly fine to be confident and that's able to be done without being cocky about it. Megalomania is not an admirable trait. There's no way in hell you'll ever convince me otherwise, nor the majority of the world. Since when do people enjoy being around arrogant people? Sure, there's the low self-worth people who are happy to be treated like sh!t just so they can be in the presence of someone they admire, but that's a sad situation.

And Kid Rock? Come on, now. That guy is the Hamburger Helper/Coors Lite of music.

Please, it could be argued that Van Halen ground to a halt, at least from the view of their established fan base, when Roth had his snit and split from the band in 85. They were Gods with Roth, and dime store Aerosmith wannabes with Hagar.

Here's where I see you've managed to dig yourself a bit of a hole, though... where Trump is concerned, we're not talking about someone who has pushed all the people who admire him away. The admiration has actually gotten stronger if anything. His family appears to adore him, his friends have remained by his side, and his outer circle has grown. Part of that is a simple fact, Trump doesn't treat anyone like crap unless they've done or said something to warrant it... it's retaliatory, not preemptive. That's an important distinction which amazingly seems to run counter intuitive to the mindset of most of his critics, who preemptively lash out against him and anyone else they fundamentally disagree with and then feign shock and outrage when they get it right back at them.

Kid Rock's net worth is damn close to Eddie's, so he's a decent example of someone who has given the people what the people expected and wanted and turned it into a very successful enterprise. What he gave the people was not meekness and self humbling, either.

Ah yeah, I tend to forget that net worth takes precedence over being a good human being and creative merit.

Musical accumen is subjective. Teenie bopper girls think K-pop is the greatest music since ever while the rest of the country likens it to the sound of cats copulating. The Beatles musical talent was horsecrap, yet they're widely considered one of the top musical acts of all time... Money is less subjective. You make a fortune in a field and you can directly compare the fruits of your labors against your peers.

This is what President Trump said during a 30 minute Oval Office Press Briefing today...

President Trump on Tuesday suggested Jewish Americans who vote for Democrats either lack the requisite knowledge or show “great disloyalty,” amid the escalation of the war of words with Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar over Israel.

"I think any Jewish people that vote for a Democrat -- I think it shows either a total lack of knowledge or great disloyalty," Trump said.

The president said Omar “is a disaster for Jewish people,” and lamented “what Omar has said, what Tlaib has said” about Israel.

He argued that the Democrats' embrace of Omar, who is from Minnesota, and Tlaib, who is from Michigan, spoke to how the party has changed.

“Where has the Democratic Party gone?” Trump said. “Where have they gone -- where they are defending these two people over the state of Israel?”
Source: www.foxnews.com...

It doesn't make sense that Jewish U.S. citizens would vote for Democrats, because Democrats are for high taxes and socialism.

The Jewish culture in America is proud of their self-reliance, achievements, and independence. They've accomplished so much without government "assistance".

Is it true that most Jewish people in the USA are registered Democrats?

-CareWeMust

Good thread. Most Jews vote Democrat like other minorities because in general they resent/envy/hate whites and Jews hate the Christian roots and foundation of the country because of their history with the religion. Like other minorities they see the Republican party as a WASP organization which stands for the real America which made America great and which they had no part of. It's funny how Trump is pro-Semitic and even allowed his daughter to marry a Jew considering how most Jews hate his guts and what he stands for.

Based on what you said, I don't understand why Jews support any U.S. political party. They should just go about their life and adapt to whatever comes along.

Um, shouldn't Jewish Americans be loyal to the United States? Just like Italian Americans, Irish Americans, Japanese Americans, Mexican Americans, etc.

If you want to be loyal to another country, go live there.

Well stated. Self-hatred can raise lack of logic to unbelievable heights.

Trump accusing other people of lacking knowledge.

You whom ignore facts or deny them accusing Trump of lacking knowledge... I guess you love the anti-semitism of the squad and love their hatred towards Israel. When these radical Muslims those like you elected talked about their trip, which was going to be to Israel, they referred to Israel as Palestine instead...

Omar, Tlaib called Israel 'Palestine' in itinerary

Those women want the dissolution of Israel and instead to give all Israeli lands to Palestine.

But hey, they are LOVED by other anti-semites who want the same thing...

The following is an expose from a Muslim, non-radical, woman about Tlaib and Omar.

The Democrat party is the Jew hating party, so I can see his point.
Not a single Democrat has called out the anti-semites Tlaib and Omar.

Due to Democrat's shift towards becoming more Anti-Jew / Anti-Israel, Democrats will be losing Jewish voters.

Source: www.jns.org...

Jewish people are not going to be "suckered" for very long by Democrats. Now, if we could only get Black / African-Americans to understand that Democrats are doing the same to them!

People like Candace Owens are doing an amazing job of spreading awareness.

The new Democrats have targeted Israel as the enemy and want to make that country suffer

These new dems want more of an alligenace to Palestine.

The new dems want to defund Israel and paint them as evil.

Imagine voting for a group that wants to make your ancestors and relatives look bad.

The only strong democracy in the region and dems hate that.

Trump is 100% spot on.

But liberal Jews are a special breed.

Would they vote for a president that has showed the most loyalty to Israel....nope.

Would they vote for a president that defunds Israel, absolutely .

There will always be liberals with zero clue of what's going on

If you really want some answers on this question read Why Are Jews Liberals by Norman Podhoretz, who states his politics as a 'paleo-neoconservative'. He is also the father of John Podhoretz, a conservative commentator for The New York Post.

I needed mouthwash after reading that. A small amount of puke can usually be stopped before it reaches your tongue, but that wasn't the case this time.

HAHA!

Are you talking about the tweet I just posted? What was wrong with it? It had everything you could want in a reading and more.

Acknowledged likeness to king of Israel ✅
Humored being called the second coming ✅

Finished off with a identity politics sandwich (Gays, Blacks, Jews )✅✅✅

Lol, what a time we live in.

Sort of off-topic, but where did you get those check marks from? I looked at the text and it looks like it has some wingdings or something in it for the first character.

As one who lived in Israel (not Palestine, which is a British created name from Trans-Jordan) and spent time in the West Bank with the Arab population:

1. Zionism and Judiasm are diametrically opposed. Ask a Hassadic Jew.
2. American Jews are divided among J-Street and AIPAC political slants
3. Donald Trumps' mentors, friends, and favorite person in the world, other than himself, is a converted Jew, and an Orthodox one at that.
4. Israelis are as politically divided and Americans between their two major parties, Labor and Likud
5. Trump considers himself the best ally that Israel ever had and probably is, just ask Israelis.
6. Democrats will lose some of the American Jewish vote because of the Squad. Trump knows what he is doing by baiting a demographic he lags in support. The squad evokes great emotions within the population but they garner little amount of voting power. Trump is taking advantage of it.
7. Again, it depends on who the nominee and ticket is (most likely Warren). Jewish numbers will not change with Biden, who is a big supporter of Israel. What would be interesting is a poll of the voters if Bernie was nominated (not very likely). I think of him as a Chomsky kind of Jew.
8. Finally, think about what Trump has done, and its really kind of genius. He has politically united the alt-right nationalists, which are historically anti-sematic, and been a major supporter of Israel. I don't care what you think of the man, he has turned political normalcy upside down.
9. The overt battle within the American Jewish population is between liberalism and conservancy. You see it in Israel and in the rest of the world. The problem is both left and right are identified by a platform which masks religious and ethnic indoctrination and affiliation. Makes you wonder what the big driver of influence is that made us so tribal as a nation.
10. Final word on Palestinian, Jews, and Conservatives that J-Street Jews and 2 state solution proponents don't and will never get. Donald Trump, however, does get this and lives his life accordingly::

Nothing in life is inalienable. There is no such thing as self-determination. It is a myth. To gain that which you call self-determination you either have to fight for it, negotiate for it, or have it given. The Palestinians are unable militarily to win anything, were unwilling to negotiate until it was too late, and are unlucky people. They are facing a group and a culture that faced Holocausts, inquisitions, crusade, and pogroms. The only reason they are around is they learned this lesson. Netanahyu, who had a brother killed in Entebbe, realizes this and as unfair as it is for the Palestinians who has their land taken and for all intent and purposes, overrun by a people who barely survived 4000 years of being wiped out, a guy like Trump is someone who has their back.
