I seem to remember of number of Republicans being unhappy about activist judges and a particular ruling on abortion. So if you are going to label people as being hypocritical how come it doesn't now apply to you ?

Democrats on Gay Marriage Laws Okay'd = Supreme Court is the GREATEST!!!!!

Normal Americans = We should have gotten a vote and not let 9 people decide, then if it passes it passes. But we moved on.

Democrats on 2nd Amendment = Supreme Court is too Conservative. We'll change that so that liberals will greatly outnumber the Conservatives if we're able to win the election in 2020! Mean Supreme Court Justices!

Geez. WTF is turning liberals brains to mush. No wonder so many democrats are running away from that party.

NY and their draconian gun laws make me sick. There is a case where a lady was at home and it was invaded. There was a gun at home and she used it. The police even admitted that if she hadn't she would have been killed. They arrested her for the gun and she will probably go to prison.

We just lost a Jail Administrator in Arkansas because while he was at work, three black men and a white woman broke into he and his wife's house. She was home and took one of them at gun point, called the station where her husband works, and held one of the guys until the police showed up. The others had ran off. She was arrested for false arrest on the suspect and taken to jail. Her husband quit after it happened. Now the suspect is trying to sue her for racism.

I know that unrelated to your story, but it's still as much bull#.

There's a big difference when the left want to win so they can add more Justices just so they can outnumber the Conservative Justices. That's not a route that needs to be taken, otherwise the next Republican can add even more to outnumber the liberal Justices. That's even more retarded than Harry Reid's Nuclear Option he never thought the right would get to use when he made it.

This isn't new.
From: The WIKI
Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you: The Judicial Procedures Reform Bill of 1937

The provisions of the bill adhered to four central principles:

allowing the President to appoint one new, younger judge for each federal judge with 10 years service who did not retire or resign within six months after reaching the age of 70 years;

limitations upon the number of judges the President could appoint: no more than six Supreme Court justices, and no more than two on any lower federal court, with a maximum allocation between the two of 50 new judges just after the bill is passed into law;

that lower-level judges be able to float, roving to district courts with exceptionally busy or backlogged dockets; and
lower courts be administered by the Supreme Court through newly created "proctors".

The latter provisions were the result of lobbying by the energetic and reformist judge William Denman of the Ninth Circuit Court who believed the lower courts were in a state of disarray and that unnecessary delays were affecting the appropriate administration of justice. Roosevelt and Cummings authored accompanying messages to send to Congress along with the proposed legislation, hoping to couch the debate in terms of the need for judicial efficiency and relieving the backlogged workload of elderly judges.

The issues back then were that the Supreme Court was not allowing the "New Deal" to get through the system since it violated many areas of the Constitution. FDR not liking this (being all about the Socialism as FDR did) he wanted to reshape the courts into a committee instead that could be packed with people that would agree to his rules. Sorry to say, but a Democrat not liking the separation of the 3 branches of power in this country isn't new, and neither is whiney socialists throwing a fit over how the law keeps it all legal isn't either.

Weird that they never learn.

We have laws and they better make sure they follow them(LOL Right) or they will quickly find themselves out of a "job". I dont understand why these people keep thinking theyre irreplaceable king sh!t. You keep pushing us, youre going to find out why we have our rights. Youre not in charge here, WE ARE.

The criticism of SCOTUS for potential partisanship is fair game in my view. Let's face it, they are partisan. I doubt any judge keeps himself or herself totally unbiased.

What is more worying is that the Democrats are threatening SCOTUS and trying to force them to not hear a case.

What the evil communist left are saying is that anyone who does not think like them deserves no rights, freedoms, representation.

Exactly how is the supreme court supposed to heal itself?

Serious question.

The answer is obvious from the threat made by Democrats. Make decisions that they tell SCOTUS to make. Or else.
The Democrats right now are the greatest danger to USA in her relatively short history. More so than Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union.

And the conservatives hate activist judges until they are on their side. One already rewrote the meaning of the 2nd Amendment which the conservatives, of course, had no problem with because it rewrote it in a way they liked. Hypocrisy is always alive and well.

Rewrote the Second Amendment ?
Total lie !
Never happened.

The dems get more pathetic and scary by the day. Anyone not concerned in how they go about conducting their business needs to pull their head out of the sand. The manner in which they try and control everything and I do mean everything, is some scary #hit.

Crazy how easily people trust the government as soon as their team is the one in power. Forget the fact that the government is made up of more than just a president's cabinet and forget the fact that the majority of government positions carry over from administration to administration, my team is in office so government is good and fighting for me!

The ones truly in power are never the ones in office or on TV, they are the ones who pay people to do those things for them in exchange for "political favors", a.k.a. legislation that benefits their own selfish interests.

But yes, the federal government is operating as the founders intended. The Dems said the same thing about Obama.

who is trusting the government here? Or are you just saying random words as usual?

Sorry if this was already mentioned, but if you recall immediately after Kavanaugh's appointment, the dem's came out FULL FORCE in supporting the expansion of the SC. It seemed to be mentioned every day in the news for 2-3 weeks afterwards and when AOC got in office (or even before) I think she was pushing this when she blabbered on.

Make no mistake, this is one of their contingency plans. I'm guessing they have some RINO's they plan on backing for the SC if they can get an expansion somehow, people who are pro abortion (or at least "soft" on it) and people who are not strong 2A supporters.

They will try to push for a "we need a larger SC to represent a growing and more diversified country, bla bla.." and they'll probably even allow for a "republican majority" as long as those they appoint are RINO's and/or old. I could probably write their talking points if I had to before they come out b/c they are so predictable it's sad. It's like when you get to know your 2-3yr old kid and know they won't admit to breaking the figurine on the mantle, or planter on the table, they just point to the 17yr old dog that never moves except to go eat/poo and say "fido did it".

I'm guessing they were planning on expanding the SC if Hillary won b/c they would have had the power to do it and they would have had a super majority of like 11/4 (dem/rep) or something like that and would probably appointed much of the 9th circuit ct to the position. We dodged a bullet with that debacle I'll tell you!

Obviously, some people think the supreme is ill and needs it needs to heal.

I say the Supreme Court take two aspirin and check back with them in 24 hours.
