Im a Centrist, and I don't love anyone. Some people I hate, and some people I hate twice. And whoever is trying to take away my Constitutional rights and the most money, I hate thrice

Good thread DTOM. You lost your blinders!

Thanks.

Actually, I'm a realist. Although I am also human with ideologies I would prefer.

America is corpoations. And its pretty much global at this point.

Everything is a number.

Once you have all the money you need, power & control come next.

Greed is not just about money, its also about powerr & control.

Everything else is an illusion we were raised to believe in.

Its more a question of: "Where do I want to be in the game".

I have been saying for a long time

There are many old school democrats that hate trump, but feel like the democrat party has gone insane

I get not liking trump for his personal foibles

But let’s say you were a life long union person

Trump is fighting for American jobs. He is trying to protect from base trade deals and open borders that hurt blue collar labor markets

And for this he is called a racist Nazi

And by extension, so is the union member who cares about their job

They personally attack anyone who disagree with them in the vilest ways, and want almsot total control of all of our ways of life, right down to banning cars and cows

The want to divide us all among race, and end due process for people, instead judging them by factors such as there sex or race as guilty until proven innocent

This doesn’t mean the republicans are perfect

And even though I am a Republican, I want at LEAST two parties to be successful and represent the people

But the democrats running the party are extreme and horrible, and they want total control of all of our lives

So I understand people fleeing the party

Trump is not pro-union at all.

Anyone who clings to either party is the problem. They both want the same thing...prosperity for them and a lack of power for the people.

You all are idiots for falling into the same trap with a different partisanship.

I love the idea behind the Union, but unfortunately Unions are just too corrupt.

That's painting with a broad brush. Our leaders are elected and every dollar is accounted for just like a business.

SAG/AFTRA and IATSE Union proud, Union strong!!

One would think.

There are many extremely wealthy Democrats these days, including the richest person in the world, Jeff Bezos. Other liberal tycoons: Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Ellison, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and Michael Bloomberg. All of these fine anti-Trump liberals are currently among the 12 wealthiest people in the world. All are wealthier than any conservative.

Yeah, don't you love that? Yet they and the media continue to parrot the lie that the GOP is the party of the rich. Coulda fooled me. Let's not forget a lot of Wall Street and big bank fat cats wanted Clinton, not Trump. And then they pretend to be concerned about too much money in politics, despite Clinton outspending Trump.

All the while, death an taxes are guaranteed by both parties.

Would you believe in, Canadas upcoming fed election, both Trudeau an his political conservative opposite, Scheer are both supporting open immigration policies?

So who should I vote for(already got on mind, not going to say, the platforms very similar to trumps)when both are just parasitic mosquitos similar to lawyers.

I Am a life long Republican, first vote was for Reagan! my parents were dem's and we could have friendly debates and agree to disagree, they have both passed away some time ago! but my Brother and sister in law actually hate me for supporting Trump, actual fricking hate, and with vitriol, the argument is that is the USA a democracy or a Constitutinal Republic. I was taught in school it is the latter! and it's funny they want to turn our country socialist, and he is an othropedic surgeon and she is a lawyer, they are well off but they don't want to give away their money, hipocracy at it's finest!
You did the right thing taking the red pill

Look, I'll be blunt here, one of the goals American conservative and libertarian voters have had for quite awhile now is to avoid becoming Canada, politically speaking. America's left wing has moved dramatically further left on social issues and payouts to their Kept voters over the past few decades. America's right wing has also shifted leftward, though at a slower pace (causing the difference between the two sides to appear larger when, in the opinion of actual conservatives, it should be much, much wider than it even is.) The advent of calling out modern Republicans who espouse political ideals that just a few decades ago would have pegged them solidly as liberals has it's roots in those of us who have no interest in seeing the US go the way Canada did, where all political options are left wing, just some a little less left than others. It's why we have the RINO GTFO movement that skewered political pandering hacks like John McCain and Jeff Flake and will hopefully do the same to Murkowski and Graham in their next primary.

Same, only my first vote was for Bob Dole. I never experienced the "I'm young and dreaming so I must support Democrats" moment. I think I exited the womb with a tiny American flag in my fist and a snarl on my lips.

Actually, the worst came from poorer backgrounds, but feel free to invent whatever boogeymen you wish.

James Buchanan considered the worst President, successful law practice before entering politics, earning the equivalent of $207k per year in 2018 money.

Warren G. Harding, bought a struggling Newspaper, The Marion Star, and made it successful. The paper is still in existence and successful 139 years later.

Andrew Johnson, was a successful tailor, but that isn't big business. He is the exception.

Franklin Pierce, highly successful and lucrative law practice and partnership.

Millard Fillmore, teacher, successful attorney, justice of the peace and comptroller of New York.

John Tyler, wealthy aristocratic family, successful lawyer, state court judge, plantation & farm owner.

Ulysses S. Grant, equestrian, commanding general, writer (His memoirs were praised by Mark Twain as a "literary masterpiece", his royalties were equivalent to $12 million in 2018 money).

William Henry Harrison, prominent and wealthy family, military captain, army general, territorial governor, university founder.

Herbert Hoover, mining engineer, geologist and mine proprietor (he was called the "doctor of sick mines" because of his business success in making failing mining businesses profitable), university lecturer, board of trustee member of Stanford University, the CEO of several successful aid agencies both in the US and overseas, US secretary of commerce.

To name a few...

Still doesn't explain why our political spectrum are merging while Americas, is going into hell with division. I saw Trudeau on stage with the Mayor of Toronto, whose supposed to be a conservative(progressive conservative actually), about banning legal guns, rather focusing on illegal ones.

All the while, the only conservative action I've seen was done by Trudeau an his party when they put in the foreign tax for foreign home buyers. While Harper(conservative) never did a thing which would of prevented the housing market jump in price where #holes are half a mill CAD now.

Politically, Harper was much better at presentation, but not much better imo.

Yea I noticed your shift time ago, when you guys stopped using Jesus.

So depressing when I read things like this. I've spent my entire life being around, and being friends with, people who don't share my politics, culture, ethnicity, or religious beliefs...and I have loved every aspect of it. When I think of diversity, I think of that, and not the fake version bandied about by the most hysterical of the left today.

And now I see something in American politics that I have not seen in my lifetime before... attacking non-politicians (in other words, the people) for their political beliefs.

Phrases like "it's a free country and you can think whatever you like" or "let's agree to disagree" are distinctly American concepts that truly distinguished us from the rest of the world.

That's all changed now. The left talks about the dangers of tribal intolerance, but in truth, they're the main purveyors of it.

Moreover, in this last cycle, the current leadership on the left has demonstrated precisely what kind of governance we could expect if they ever regain power.

In my opinion, it will enable Donald Trump's success in 2020.

I have often said the following in many previous threads...

What amazes me the most is how easy it would have been for the Democrats to defeat Trump in this next cycle. All they had to do was show how they would govern. You know, draw a sharp contrast by using measured, professional, mature opposition to him. He made it easy for them to look like they were the adults in the room- if they wanted to be.

But instead, the left showed us EXACTLY how they would govern, and I think those who might have been persuaded to make a change are terrified by what they have seen from the left during this term.

I am married to a life long liberal who only ever voted for Democrats. What I couldn't accomplish over 30 years, the left accomplished in the span of a few short months.

She will never vote for a Democrat again.

en.wikipedia.org...

Uh, compared to other president and lawmakers you've listed paupers and proven my point. Buchanan, Harding, Andrew Johnson, Pierce, Fillmore, and US Grant were all at the very bottom of presidential wealth charts, with net worths that were under or barely at a million dollars. (In comparison, 193 current Congressmen or Senators have net worths that are over $1 Million).

Hoover and Tyler are the outliers on your list... but 6 of the 8 you listed were dirt poor by DC standards and were among the worst POTUS holders ever.

Globalist corporations have pushed the US' leaders towards global conformity. Simple as that.

And yeah, I agree with you, the abdication of the Christian God in our system has lead us down a dark, evil path which we see manifested daily in the form of nonsense like ANTIFA, accepting and normalizing of the profane and grotesque, and celebration of sinful self glorification.

But Goldwater was more of a "Libertarian" and Republicans didn't start any wars in the 1960s 😃

Well that sure is a blatant half truth right there huh? Kennedy's escalation of Vietnam was a continuance of the much more quiet war we were fighting there throughout the 50s.

And while the Republicans didn't start any wars in the 60s they sure as hell were in almost total lockstep with the war in South East Asia and fought at every opportunity against de-escalation.

Go learn a bit of US history
You are confusing the US with the French and British history

Why ?
