When it's like the El Paso shooting, the left blames Trump, the people who voted for Trump.

When it's a leftist shooter, they say, "There are extremists on all sides, why do we need to finger point?"

Until the next shooter that is remotely connected to conservatives. Then it'll be Trumps fault, your fault, and everyone to the right of Stalin's fault.

Yes the left does blame trumps rhetoric.

Why do you think that is?

Because they are trying to use it for there political advantage

If they were serious about blaming rhetoric for extremist, they would have blamed themselves for Steve scalises shooting, or the terrorist that attacked the ice center

But they didn’t, which shows they are hypocrites using these tragedies to attack political opponents

Compare the few solid left leaning backed causes of lethal violence compared to the right leaning. I think we can see why trump is blamed... you are picking and choosing and just waiting for the next attack to be a left leaning one . I saw this coming from a mile away.

I am not picking and choosing

I said is wasn’t blaming the Dems for things like the scalise shooting

You seem to be doing some mighty fun mental gymnastics to accuse people of wanting democrats to be held to the same standards they hold trump to of picking and choosing

To add, if it's not "Russia" or "Orange Man Bad" then it's, "Why do we have so much politics?"

It's like the left is mentally incapable of taking personal responsibility for their destructive ideology.

I suspect the top Dems are well aware of the hypocrisy. They just assume the average person is too dumb to make the connections and realize it. Luckily, the average American isn't as dumb as they think. That's why #walkaway is a real thing. They are losing all but their most heavily invested ideological devotees. The party left moderates behind long ago.

That doesn't mean they're all becoming Republicans though. I hope there's a serious 3rd party within the next election cycle or two. We could use the diversity, break up this failed two-party system.

I didn’t say it was

It’s a statement

My position as always is that people should not be hypocritical

I don’t blame Dems or republicans for extremists committing heinous acts using some of the same they

Many of the Dems do, and have not only called trump a white nationalist who is responsible for mass shootings, but said his supporters are as well

Therefore by their standards they are responsible for people doing heinous things using their rhetoric

If the Dems don’t believe that, they are hypocrites

Pointing that out is worth while, because it shows they are using tragedies for political gain

One of the reason Democrats don’t have more mass shootings.

Is because they aren’t very good shots.

I don't think that the Democrats do have any fewer mass shootings.

Lonely, disenfranchised, damaged, ignorant and hate filled people do mass shootings.

Insanity has no party preference.

While ever we blame the wrong people, we'll never have a workable solution.

At first I thought you missed that it was a joke.

Then I decided you did but you just concentrated on one part.

You brought up some solid points.

Insanity problem will never be cured. The one thing we can do in the here and now. His tone down the rhetoric .

I’ve got another idea that I need to research a little farther. Then I’m going to make a thread on it .

The Republicans and their voting base do the same thing. You are chasing your tail in this situation... although there is far more evidence to support that trumps rhetoric has caused a rift in violence and hate towards certain groups whereas those who support Democrats its basically the same old drum beat.

So when did it all change? Antifa, BLM, etc were concepts before trump. You cant blame the dems for those groups, but there has been a spike in white nationalism since trump took office. I mean he does recognize it, so I guess hes right, or wrong?

I'd disagree about the curability of insanity.

A lot of people tip over the edge because they loose their close personal contact with other people and then their ideation can successively follow a random path.

We have more people who live alone, even in crowds. Tech devices don't cut it because the interactions that inform of mental state are missing. Some very sad people type LOL.

If there were more effort to really bring people together, there would be less insanity. There'd still be some, but definitely way, way less.

Show me a prominent republican among democrat rhetoric for shootings but not republicans

And trumps rhetoric of wanting to stop illegal immigration is no where near the lefts rhetoric of calling trump and his supporters and ice white supremacist Nazis

If we’re talking real insanity it will never be cured history shows that .

As for the current angry liberal insanity it could be cured in one day .

If the vote goes their way on November 3 ot would basically cure TDS overnight .

But it won’t trumps going to win and it will get worse .

I think people care more what their fellow citizen thinks than any person in power..those people are liars by trade, and do not represent the common man.

Yeah I've seen the threads on that. Take the highest, unrealistic estimates you can find for each war and add them up. Cheap, inaccurate, propaganda. No one falls for that crap anymore. You guys have forgotten how to form rational arguments. You just cherry pick "data" from whatever biased "study" you can find that supports your view, and call anyone who disagrees a warmonger, Islamophobe, racist, sexist etc. Information is everywhere. It's not as easy for you to lie to people anymore. You need to change your strategy.

Those people in power are the narrative and policy

If some online troll says all trump supporters are white supremacists that’s no big deal

But if leaders of a political party say it, that’s a much bigger deal
