sorry you see it differently

Sorry but thats just another attempt to twist words.

I asked a very clear question based on very clear words that you typed and now you are desperately trying to back away and not answer the question. Its obvious for all to see.

Sorry that you don't understand that your opinion is not more accurate than any others.
Is that an aussie thing?
In the spirit of your submitted opinion, I am glad a meteor did not hit those people.

The people who responded were very brave.
Hopefully they will be an example to others.

laws don't stop any violent crime, lack of availability is the only reason you don't have as many shootings...

Funnily enough the lack of availability is directly tied to the gun control laws - and therefore directly relevant to this thread.

Nah. It's the pigs they're after.
You know, fat white people.... And jews. But... I think jews are second.
They're coming after the pigs first.
And they're using knives because we're getting slaughtered like animals.
We're not worth the bullit.

That's the general idea.

That is pretty harsh.
But I guess that does not make it untrue.
I have no doubt "they" are coming after people.
Glad I live in a nation with 2A, seems they come after those people less.
www.nbcnews.com...

Two gunmen who opened fire outside of a "Draw Muhammad" contest organized in the town of Garland, Texas, on Sunday, were shot dead after shooting and injuring a security guard.

Seems they have found softer targets.

It's hilarious how you guys twist the truth to suit your fantasy.

How many mass murders have their been in the US, caused by guns, in this year alone? Last I read it's over 500.

How many mass murders involving not only guns but other weapons have happened in Australia in the last year? One.

Even accounting for population differences no sane person can say that having more guns equates to less mass murders and shootings. The facts speak for themselves.

Having read through all this and your OP and your replies, I just have to ask.

Do you live in Australia or the US?

And if you live in Australia, why ever in the world would you give a rat's behind about how many are killed in the US, in mass shootings or otherwise? There's a lot I find interesting about Australia, but your murder rate or lack thereof isn't high on list of interests. Different cultures, different problems, different legal systems, whatever. There's really no comparison between the US and Australia. For one thing, and no, I haven't researched it lately, Australia has VERY stringent border controls and from what I read, its very difficult for people to legally immigrate to Australia. Last time I checked, US Americans have to prove a net worth of $1 Million or more just to gain permanent residency upon retirement to become legal residents of Australia.

The US on the other hand, has the most porous borders in the world. The US government has all but ceded national sovereignty over its southern border. And considering the Sanctuary Cities/States laws on the West Coast, one could argue that the US National Government has near ceded national sovereignty over the west coast of the US.

If you're living in Australia............I'd think the US would be the very least of YOUR concerns. China on the other hand?

Seems the truth is some good people in sydney stood up to a bad person.
Similar to what was done in garland.
The rest is simply your opinion and propaganda.
Neither of which have to do with facts of the events.
Similar to your claim of 500 "mass murders"

Take your easily debunked bs elsewhere.
Perhaps a place people dont research their claims and simply pull numbers out of their keisters.

Australia.

I care because the NRA has a presence here trying to loosen our gun laws and interfere with our politics. Of bloody course I'm going to talk about it if they bring it here and try that crap with us.

Further to that, this right-wing lurch that the US has taken is infecting us here too. Trump has emboldened every lunatic extremist here in Australia, including in our politics, that we haven't seen in a long while.

Us Aussies have every bloody right to talk about the US if the US is here interfering with us.

Simple fact that nobody can deny: The bad guy would have killed a lot more people with a gun.

Refute that if you can. Try not to stray into delusion territory in doing so.

Nice twist. They forgot to add that it would've only been bad in one of our cities with the strictest gun laws. To add to that, imagine how fast a man with a gun could have ended this knife rampage.

Explain to me how a gun wouldn't kill more people than a knife in that particular situation?

Go on, explain it.
