Gentlemen, I don't want to see anyone get in trouble. Ignore each other.

Well the calf this morning was pretty cute. Haven't even been able to sex it yet, because we can't even get close to Momma, but it has a nice belt and it's a big calf. Momma looks good after the birth and we're pretty happy about that.

Poor little thing, it had a hard day for its first day of life. First it got separated from Mom, then it got hailed on (but mom eventually got it to shelter). Just a hard day for a first day calf. Probably be a strong animal going forward. It learned a lot in just one day!

I dragged my ass out of bed at 7am to go to church with my dad. He will be 93 this year, and misses mom. I hated church as a kid, but I can make it through 1 hour twice a month, and I love to sing.

I hit the farmers market after church and got 40 bucks worth of veggies to eat and freeze for winter. Got dome fresh peanuts to steam ,peppers, onions, melons, and Some tomatoes to process into sauce too.

Now im barbequeing some enormous Angus beef ribs to slather with BBQ sauce for dinner, with fresh okra on the side.

What I learned in church today, was be kind to one another

It certainly did. I am just relieved that the baby and Momma are back together again.
Yay!

Wow 93! My Dad passed away before Mom and it was very hard on her. It's good that you are there for him. She made it to 92.

How about a little comic relief?

You're lucky (maybe). Dad passed away a day before his 90th birthday. Mom passed 2 years later at 92.

Mom just made it to 83. She was like a Mother Teresa. She took care of so many people in her life. She shared her treasures and time. She baby sat kids so unwed mothers could go back to college, and supported the poor in 3rd world countries

That's awesome!!

I think my Mom was an angel also. Never had a bad thing to say about anything or anyone.
