"Islam is incompatible with the Western World" - Discuss.

I believe that the so-called "religion of peace" which calls for violence against those it refers to as "infidels" and calls for a global takeover is a great, great danger to Western Civilisation. Countries like Russia and China do not take kindly to this religion - and quite rightly too. (Bear in mind that this is a religion which encourages followers to "trick" and "deceive" "infidels" in order to "defeat" them.)

Should we be so tolerant over here in "the Western World"?

I'll only say that most western folk accept mulsims.
But most muslims only tolerate westerners.

So many shades of taqiya, so many rants behind closed doors... who really knows.

Im here to tell you, the constitution provides for freedom of religion amongst other things...my daughter learned a great deal re: the founding of our country through the Rush Revere books, I reccomend them.

I personally disagree with many religious tenents, but Im free to do so based on secular laws. There is a beautiful balance between theological and secular dictates in the West. Its difficult to maintain, but its worth fighting for.

Unfortunately by telling me to do it, i fell the immediate and urgent need to tell you "no i won't discuss"

If you want to say more about it do so without doing the "discuss" thing you like to do, it turns people away

I do have some insight into this i would like to point out but i won't because you tried to push things around, which i hate a lot

Islam comes in 2 versions as everyone knows.
Just like every other religion however;
In it's extreme form it is at war with the non-Islamic world.
Not much of a fight when only side has declared war.
Rather unfair in my humble opinion.

The beauty part about islame, it's at the edge of the Flat Earth and if they mess with us too much, we could just go over there with Caterpillars and just push them right off the edge. That calls for celebration, hoist up a package of Root beer PEZ and enjoy.

Religions are cults of death, you live your entire life trying to make it though the requirements of a good death that will lead to meeting your creator, in one way or another

Life is just a chance to lead you to the correct death so that the crazy God will take you in, but any wrong doing could lead to hell or blackness for eternity. How is that acceptable to an all loving God who knows, that's mostly true for any religion lol

On the other hand you could be a spiritual person, or go into Zen or other stuff like that which doesn't require you to sacrifice lambs and your kid if God speaks to you through your crazy brain. But to each their own i guess

The purpose of religion is to provide a framework of rules. Early in human history a person dealt directly with, maybe, a hundred people the most. We can know a hundred people pretty well, we can talk to them, know when they are lying. In a group that size it's not hard for a group to deal with assholes. Send 'em out to deal with life on their own and good luck to ya.


But we started forming larger societies because, on the whole, it made it easier to survive. Trouble is it also made it easier for the assholes to get away with being assholes. People don't know everyone in the group quite so well. It's easier to lie and cheat and screw your buddies wife. It gets harder to bust people.

So, we now need an omniscient lawgiver who will eventually provide the punishment that we may not be able to provide. He knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake. He knows when you've been bad or good, so...

Viola! God.

This, of course, is not to be confused with the gods which control weather and stuff. They don't tend to care much about what individuals do, or who they screw. Do they?
