I got a feeling Earth is due seems like a lot more passing by us. Recently one came out of nowhere , Wonder if it's a field/batch of them coming our way ?

I looked at one that size was only around $9,000 at the time .

According to his twitter he used an 8" telescope. They start at about $500 I think. You get what you pay for though. My guess is that his setup with lens and camera is more in the $2000 area.

For $2k , you can have quite a capability. My setup is legacy hardware with some newer tweaks. The Meade is a reference spotter for the Celestron C8. All digital eyepieces, Starry Night software. Tracking only, no goto's. Comet scanner, not an astro-photographer.
