Hell, plenty has been done proving smoking tobacco is safe.
Not really.

But there is stuff like this:
Long Term Study

Edit: link worked.

I still don't trust it. But I hear ya.

Print the warning label... Don't print the warning label...

Who cares?

Half of California can't even read the label in English, and the other half is too rich to get their hands dirty with weedkiller in the first place. They just end up paying someone from the first half to do their landscaping for them.

Now everybody shut up and jazz hands with me.

[imagine a pepe doing jazz hands meme]

How dear he question the Trump administration.

Why doesn't Trump admin work to repeal the act?

FYI, criticizing Trump doesn't mean you support what Obama did.

It's getting harder for the Left to find something REAL to complain about.

Ahh.. so it's okay to complain about Obama's admin being involved with monsanto, but not the Trump admin?
Quite the koolaid your drinking...

The reason labeling exists is for consumers to make their own choices. Capatalism.. Anyone who opposes this labeling is either drinking some political kool aid (such as the trump supporters who can't believe anything trump admin does is bad), or is a corporate political shill.

You know ATS got taken over by trump worshippers when they dear not question Trump admin when it comes to Monsanto.

A headline does not equal truth.

As for Monsanto and Obama, here it is the length
that Obama went to in protecting Monsanto and GMO.

The “Monsanto Protection Act” of Betrayal

On March 26, 2013, President Obama signed H.R. 933, the Agricultural Appropriations Bill....

However, a peculiar addition tacked onto the bill titled the “Farmer Assurance Provision” (Section 735) has food justice advocates and consumers in an uproar. The provision prohibits federal courts from banning the sale and planting of genetically-modified organisms (GMOs), even if they are proven to be dangerous to human health

foodfirst.org...

You of all people Phage, I could quote you in other
threads where you basically backed Obama on this
and were suspect of anyone opposing Round Up.

Oh the hypocrisy!

Quite the opposite actually.

I oppose Genetically Modified Crops, they are poison.

Round Up on lawns and golf courses, in any application
imo is unsafe. I will not use any such product on my property,
and have not for decades.

Now onto Trump - I can not expect him to revamp the EPA
in two years, let alone undo all of Obama's toxic legislation.

Don't even know his stance on it really, but since he
leans towards deregulation I could see his administration
being more lax on the labeling.

Now if you really believe in labels, lets put labels on GMO
crops, because most of them are grown from seeds
that were COATED in pesticides.

ETA corrected my mis type.

No.

Not much point in coating seeds with a herbicide. But some seeds, GM and otherwise, are coated with neonicotinoids or other insecticides, to prevent them from being eaten when they are planted.

Woketard Doofus. Never heard of Hussein Obama's Monsanto Protection Act? No, didn't think so.

It is like the current administration installment doesn't matter, they all act the same in regards to their masters, the corporations.

That is because neither have been absolutely proven to cause cancer .

What I meant to say -

Round Up Ready crops are engineered to be sprayed with roundup
on the crops which is far worse. The plants can and do uptake Round Up,
they are then harvested and people eat it. Hence, why Round Up
is found in virtually all GMO foods.

y Crops (RR Crops) are genetically engineered crops that have had their DNA altered to allow them to withstand the herbicide glyphosate (the active ingredient of Monsanto's herbicide Roundup). They are also known as "glyphosate tolerant crops." RR crops deregulated in the U.S. include: corn, soybeans, canola, cotton, sugarbeets, and alfalfa. When planting Glyphosate Tolerant crops, a farmer can spray the entire crop with glyphosate, killing only the weeds and leaving the crop alive.

And yes, then they are coated with Neonic's.

Oh, that. You mean something that had nothing to do with RoundUp or glyphosate (which is the topic of this thread)?

But there never was anything called the Monsanto Protection Act, was there? And this statement is incorrect, isn't it?

The provision prohibits federal courts from banning the sale and planting of genetically-modified organisms (GMOs), even if they are proven to be dangerous to human health

The provision said that if a plant was not classified as a plant pest at the time it was planted you would still be able to harvest it if it were determined to be a plant pest after you planted it. That's it. The provision said nothing about not banning the sale or planting of GM crops and the provision did not address human health issues at all.

But you know the provision expired after one year, right?

This is proof Trump doesn’t give a crap about the average person. It’s all about business and money.

I think it also can be said the average person doesn't give a crap about all the Monsanto hate. If they did, then the company would never have had the consumer market shares they did to become one of the largest companies in the nation... Seems to me that Trump is listening to the average American here rather than pandering to the loudest minority groups.

Which is not even close to what you said before because, who eats seed corn anyway? But yes, glyphosate (not sure about Roundup, in particular) is found in some corn and soy products in small amounts.

What's interesting though is that things like clopyralid, 2,4-D, quinclorac, dicamba, 4-CPA, picloram, imazamox, pentachlorophenol, and triclopyr were found in food products as well. But more often in products made from things other than corn and soy.

LOL, this isn't an inquisition is it?

Not a court of law either. Maybe people can read
your tricky way of trying to make others look unreliable
and imagine what it would be like on a jury stand.
With you as the leading lawyer for Monsanto....

Maybe some are capable of sorting fact from fabrication.

Facts:
Seeds are not coated with glyphosate.
There was no such thing as the "Monsanto Protection Act."
It was not made impossible for the courts or anyone else to ban anything found to be harmful to human health.
