So should the msm just ignore it when Islamic extremists commit terrorism? Speaking of Islamic terrorism it seems we have recently had a bigger problem with the "white supremacists hoax" than with Islamic terrorism. Hmmmmmm

I never said they should, did I ??

All I want is reporting of things within reality. Not Hollywood reality, but everyday reality. Perhaps reporting on the deplorable conditions in the inner cities, or the murders that happen every single day (regardless of the tool). And not focus on one particular segment for obvious political purposes.

Wouldn't you agree?

I live right outside of Chicago and the problems in our inner city are well covered. I have to agree with you I would the Nationwide msm expose the inner city violence and would like to see it be a major talking point in the debates. Furthermore, I would like something to actually be done about it.

I agree. And, I think it is much more serious and widespread issue than the current narrative. It has always deserved national coverage and exposure to force the politicians to actually do something about it. Heck, it could be a political running platform IMO. It sure as hell is responsible for more deaths and strife across this country than over hyped white supremacy.

At least it's rate of incidence is really a major problem and has been for decades.

The thing with white supremacy is that we should nip it in the bud before it gets any worse imo you took the political platform words right out of my mouth about inner city violence

But the actual reality is it has been "nipped in the bud" as their number in ranks is still at a low, heck, likely lower than that of those that follow and claim to be members of ANTIFA.

As I said, let's put these things into real perspective, huh?

But then, it doesn't pander to the political narratives to get voters. Until it does....

If we ignore it we give it a chance to build momentum.

Where did I ever say we should ignore it??? Seriously!?!?

All I'm saying is to put it into PERSPECTIVE. Devote the time needed based upon it's prevalence. And right now, it is not at the top of that list. That does not equate to doing nothing.

Why can't people see that these days!!!!

Sheesh.

People are getting emboldened and someone is pushing it. I know the Russian troll farms would love to see us further divided. I do believe we are seeing more instances of hate crimes and we should not let it continue to build steam. I can rattle off several instances from recent memory in my surrounding area. I do not remember that many cases popping off say 10 -15 years ago.

Likely because it was simply not covered in as much detail as today. It gives a false perception that it is increasing. Couple that with the expansion of "hate crime" and voila! A ready made crisis prepared to be used as a political knife into the heart of the opposition.

But, if you dare question this you are immediately labeled as a support or racist. And voila, MORE racists in our midst, OMG it's a growing epidemic.

Why can't people see this for what it truly is as opposed to drowning in it??

I think people, myself included, are afraid of letting their guard down. I don't want to overhype it but at the same time I don't want to look the other way and I'm sure you don't want to either.

NO, I don't. Putting things into proper perspective is not letting your guard down. But, I also do not want to buy into the rabid hype that is reminiscent of the Salem witch trials either. And that is what is happening AGAIN since the Russian collusion narrative imploded. The hate needs to propagate and survive, so it finds a new outlet. One that, if you stand up to it, you are accused of being in league with racism and white supremacy.

For what means?
Why now?
Could it be that the 2020 elections are approaching and someone needs to squirt some petrol on this smoldering fire?

I wish more people would open their eyes to this and see it for what it truly is....a concerted effort to divide us all.

People keep saying the Russia investigation was a hoax. But people have been charged and thrown in jail. If you can't believe the investigation was real then certainly your not gonna believe white supremacy is a problem. Seems like everyone just want to deny everything. Its ridiculous.

The investigation itself was definitely real, and cost taxpayers plenty. However, what wasn't real (and a hoax) was the reasoning behind it's inception. The fact that some folks were charged and convicted for lying under oath, or tax evasion, was not related to the underlying reason for the investigation, now were they. Be honest with yourself, and at least admit that the investigation is over and found zero, zip, zilch, none, nada, no, collusion or attempts to sway the 2016 election by the Trump campaign. In addition, there was no actionable legal basis for obstruction of justice either.

Did you really say that white supremacy is fake?

Well, yes he did. Because Tucker Carlson said it is.

Yeah he didn't really.. Or at least not in the way you are thinking.

I think everyone with half a brain knows that there are a few small groups out there that hold the notion that white people are the superior race.

The OP is simply stating that the vast majority of the far left hold onto the notion that "every", Republican who voted for Trump to be a White supremacist, which in my opinion, really does require a "special", kind of stupid to actually believe..!

The few at the top spinning this idea know full well it isn't true (thus the hoax) and are simply using it to whip those who are less logically minded and easily led (I won't use the words GENETICALLY DEFICIENT here so as not to needlessly trigger anyone
), into a hate frenzy.

The ultimate idea of this tactic is to whip up enough of those less intellectually inclined into an unstoppable frenzy, that will enable them to rid themselves of the portion of the population that stand in their way of creating an Idiocracy, to which they can remain in control of indefinitely.

Agreed, which I addressed at the end of my post!

I think the way in which we are talking about these problems is wrong, that is what I was getting at in my post! and it's not about pussy footing around any ''side'' it's about being respectful and having a real conversation with the intention of actually moving forward with some agreement and maybe potential solutions, otherwise we will end up nowhere! just arguing with each other and pointing at each others flaws, you don't get people to listen that way, just doesn't work!

This is just my opinion looking in though, I am not American. I am a very left leaning Englishman!

Thanks! That's a honest approach to have a respectful debate from the very beginning. And you have my utmost respect for that, island-monkey or not.

However. I am just a David standing on the shoulders of Giants in a pit of mud. And it takes two to Tango, hence the last bastion of mockery for literal fallacy bombardments. We generally don't see the reactions to that, but this type of exchange is the one that made me ponder my stance more than just a few times when I stumbled upon them as a reader. Never underestimate the power of hard edges and giggles!

Look at it as an ongoing development of a project with lots of mackle for the occasional piece of fine art. The catharsis - or progress - might be here already, hidden in silence.

Eala Frya Fresena. Have a great time my friend!

Even Davids know in art there often will be no catharsis
