As a usual thread killer extraordinaire whilst stoked to have nearly 2 pages of replies ( even more that no flaming [ of me ] were included ) I think i'm more confused than previously. On a side note it sort of makes all the claims regarding the supposed end of the world prophecy based on Maya culture as being very open to personal interpretation based on whether you are on board with where they are placed on modern calendars or not ? Seems to me we here in modern times are relying heavily on over 2000 years of 'common era' dating being correct in times where vast numbers of populations couldn't write their own name let alone record details & calculate timing.
