Not enthused by this development.

I think The Gut is correct. He is going to get it for something else. Far more severe

If Comey isn't made an example of in some way, shape, or form (as in imprisonment), there is no reason to support our government any longer.

And the swamp rears it’s ugly head. I don’t care how petty it is. Apply charges that fit the crime. I don’t care if it’s house arrest or just probation and heavy fines. At least show the elite are just as susceptible to the law as the average US citizen.

Like someone else pointed out, if we violate even the most petty of laws, were punished. It’s time the law is applied equally instead of this 2-tiered justice system. At least try and use it as leverage to oust more significant crimes.

I guess this signals that its ok for other government employees to leak information? That's the message I'm getting. Its almost as if the DOJ doesn't want to discourage the behavior... I wonder who that benefits.

The message was already sent when they didin't prosecute Clinton for her blatant and obvious violations.

Same with her. Hers is coming . There will be nothing left of Jezebel but her hands, after the truth is revealed, and her own people pitch her out the window. That's why she is being unfriended now

Coup d'état

While that might have failed on Trump, there's nothing to stop these people from trying it again in a more blatant way if we don't start holding people accountable.

So, what you're telling us is that the DOJ doesn't want to go after Comey for the small potatoes because they plan on going after him for the bigger ones tied to other investigations? Is that what we're supposed to get from this?

They already are going after him on bigger things...

The FBI recently raided Comey's house, secured the documents he leaked, got a deposition and he lied about not giving copies to his buddy/lawyer.

This is Barr going "let me see...."

Indict him on a process crime which will go nowhere and if it does he faces no real penalties...

Or just leave this alone because it looks like we've got enough to hang him on some actual felonies.

The crime Barr is not indicting him for will be used as evidence that he wasn't following the law...

When Barr forms a Grand Jury we will know that it's coming.

Could you pass on the source for this please?
Thanks!

I'd get used to outcomes like this if I were you.
There was no FISA abuse. It was all on the up and up and there was a reason for it.

They're not prosecuting because of who he is. That's all.

You think trump would allow that to happen? If there was anything to get him on he would be gotten. Face it there is nothing. He didnt leak he didnt do anything but his job and trump was not justified in firing him because he only fired him to end the Russia probe. Ut ohhh more superior planning I guess.

It "appears" that they didn't have anything to charge him with is how it "appears".

Well.. maybe we should trust your expected outcomes.

Let me see...

Trump impeached and out of office...

check.

Trump Junior in jail...

check.

Kushner in jail...

check.

Ivanka in jail...

check.

Face it honey, you are about as deep as a teaspoon and have no actual clue about what is going on politically.

But... keep posting!!!

Funny how Mueller put the little fish away on the way to the top isn't it?
This guy is gonna let the little fish swim away?

Yeah ok...

Gotta love this kind of logic.

I hope you’re right, but based on what I’ve seen I have no faith in the justice system right now.

But will he escape criminal prosecution for FISA abuse and other acts? I think there's more-better coming.

FISA Abuse was the main thrust of IG Horowitz's investigation. Looks like Comey dodged that bullet as well.

I consider myself a fairly logical person.

Logic would be to let this play out..... prosecuting the first name that comes up is a democratic strategy... a strategy that has failed miserabily in the past.

Funny how Mueller never actually indicted anyone on what he was charged to find.

But you're cool with abuse of the system to ruin people's lives if that's what it takes to advance your ideology.

And ignoring the absolute corruption of your party.

By Any Means Necessary, right?

The next few years are going to be really fun to watch...

You'll probably going to have to change your name a few more times on here.
