The "Director of National Intelligence" oversees all 17 U.S. Intelligence agencies. The current DNI, Dan Coats, is resigning soon.

President Trump has nominated Congressman JOHN RATCLIFFE (R-Texas) as Mr. Coats' replacement.

Yesterday, here is what DNI nominee John Ratcliffe told Fox News, during a live interview:

John Ratcliffe, a top Republican investigator, said accountability is coming for any of those individuals who may have committed crimes during the Trump-Russia investigation.

And, while Ratcliffe said he does not want to prematurely accuse any specific person of a crime — as Democrats have done with President Trump — he stressed that it is clear crimes were committed by people during the Obama administration, including government officials.

“Now the things that Bob Mueller said he didn’t know about and his team clearly didn’t look at, those are things that would be fair for Bill Barr and the Department of Justice to look at.

Because we know that things happened in the Obama administration that haven’t been answered. There’s been no accountability for that yet," Ratcliffe said.
More at: www.washingtonexaminer.com...

A former Federal Prosecutor is now going to be the Director of National Intelligence. Ratcliffe will have access to all the secrets, and be uniquely qualified to assess which activities/people should be referred to Attorney General Barr for investigation/prosecution.

Wouldn't it be ironic if James Clapper, President Obama's DNI, is identified as one of those officials who violated Federal Law(s).

Yep! Get your popcorn ready, and have plenty of it.

Dan Coats was acting as a log-jam to declassification of SPYGATE materials.

He is being allowed to resign with dignity, instead of being terminated.

With Ratcliffe in place...GAME ON.

First of all he could not possibly know any such thing.
Second these people have been looked at for as long as trump has been in office and so far have come up clean much to his chagrin.
Third how could you possibly have missed this crucial word?

ndividuals who may have committed crimes during the Trump-Russia investigation.

and fourth... this is just another trump pipe dream to deflect from the most corrupt admisistration and the most corrupt man to ever hold the office.
They're not going to find anything because the investigation was legal... and it turned up a ton of corruption on the part of this horrible evil disgusting man.
And you guys dont know what to do about it so you deny it and say but hey we're gonna look at the other side...
That always was and continues to be an act of desperation by a guilty man.

Damn, it’d be a shock to see the deep state vermin and elites actually held to justice. Not holding my breath, but I do believe I’ll say a prayer or two for equal justice to finally be done.a reply to: carewemust

I read his conclusion as "we will be investigating". He doesn't claim that he's already got enough evidence for arresting.

Struck a nerve, huh ?

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.

ETA : It's funny that the Left is all for endless accusations and investigation of Trump, his family, businesses and anyone remotely connected, but even glance at a Democrat and you guys throw a screaming fit.
Hmmmm.

"They're not going to find anything because the investigation was legal."

Another example of a long, long, long, line of failed predictions. Not surprising, considering they also think the Hillary email investigation was 100% legit.

CNN is doing their best.

They refer to it as a "politically charged" investigation into the Russia probe.

"Politically charged" as in they can dismiss findings because they were "politically charged". Seems ironic because the Russia investigation itself was politically charged, but they fail to mention that for some strange reason.

Trump's administration aren't the ones who were caught spying on the Senate Intelligence Committee, making criminal referrals based on false information to the DOJ, or targeting and harassing conservatives through the IRS.

WASHINGTON — An internal investigation by the C.I.A. has found that its officers penetrated a computer network used by the Senate Intelligence Committee in preparing its damning report on the C.I.A.’s detention and interrogation program.

The report by the agency’s inspector general also found that C.I.A. officers read the emails of the Senate investigators and sent a criminal referral to the Justice Department based on false information, according to a summary of findings made public on Thursday. One official with knowledge of the report’s conclusions said the investigation also discovered that the officers created a false online identity to gain access on more than one occasion to computers used by the committee staff.

Reports of Trump wanting to fire Dan Coats have been circulating since February. It appears as though Dan has become a big hindrance in sharing all the intelligence information with Barr that he needs to complete his investigations. Good riddance.
