I was reading material on the Web and came across this article which refers to Dr. Greer's close encounters of the fifth kind project. Greer's group appears to claim that they have, on multiple occasions, caused UFOs to contact them. This strikes me as a bit incredible, as if it were possible to contact UFOs, surely Greer would have publicized this evidence to the public or media.

Has anyone looked into these claims?

BTW, I did search the site so I apologize if there was a prior thread but I couldn't find one.

I seem to remember a Art Bell show a few years back('99 or 00) that dealt with this.

Supposedly using lasers and some frequencies to get a rather non-physical manifestation of what Greer termed "ships" that would beam lights back down.

If I remember correctly, he even invited Art to come do a broadcast on location which Art left open(but never happened).

I'm not sure there's any real "meat" to it though, just recounting what I remember.
