What the complete frick!

A convicted killer gets 300 year jail sentence.
The ass killed 4 people ,"that includes a 37 month old fetus" and failed on the 5th.

How a killing a fetus get a murder conviction is the topic for another thread.

[Marcus Dansby, who admitted to the grisly slayings of four people, including his unborn child, in 2016, was sentenced today to 300 years in prison.

Dansby, 23, pleaded guilty but mentally ill to killing Consuela Arrington, 37, Traeven Harris, 18, Dajahiona Arrington, 18, and the near-term fetus she was carrying. The slayings happened on Sept. 11, 2016, at 3006 Holton Ave.]

www.wane.com...

Of course he is mentally ill, you couldnt commit these crimes if you were not mentally ill, but what's the point of a 300 year prison sentence.
Sorry but the electric chair is needed in this situation.

He will never get paroled.
Even on the slim chance he would get paroled he would be so messed up from decades in prison that he wouldn't be fit to live in society.

Stupid waste of money. Ugh...

He’s going to jail for the rest of his life. What’s the problem?

do you mean 37 week old fetus? and 300 year prison term is effective because it moves his eligibility for parole way ahead. so he will never get out. i dont see the problem. f him

Horrific crimes, bud, yes. But the last execution in Indiana (didn't even know Indiana was a DP state) was back in '09.
The "mental illness" element was probably used as a "mitigating factor" if anything...

Near-term 37 month old fetus?

As much as I would like someone like that to rot in jail, I would not want to pay for it with my hard payed tax dollars.

It's to circumvent the possibility of parole by giving him the life sentences and having them run consecutively instead of concurrently.

I dont want to pay to feed and house him for the rest of him natural life.

Put him down like the animal he is.

You'll pay even more by the time that happens, if it happens.

Waste of resources.

Resources that could be put towards helping contributing members of society. He should be shot like the rabid dog he is.

$5 in bullets/$20 in electricity versus 60 years of tax money to house him.

Put him down.

Nevermind, looks like many other posters already stated my reasoning.

At 37 weeks you can give birth to a perfectly healthy child, why even bother saying he killed a foetus because he didn't he killed a child.

I gotta say I don't like the death penalty, I think its too easy, I much prefer a life time in a hard labour camp, 1 small cell, a pot to piss in and the same meal every day for the rest of your life with just enough nutrition to keep you alive for scum like this.

Wow. I actually agree. What a waste of resources.

Can't be fixed, take them out behind the shed, and "take care of them".

You are paying to keep them alive.

The problem is that taxpayers pay for it instead of simply executing him. What point is there in paying huge amounts of money to keep someone locked in a cage for the rest of their life where they'll have no purpose?
On that note, the electric chair, gas chamber and lethal injections all cost money too. When someone is sentenced to death, why not just hang them or put them in front of a firing squad? It's practically free. It's not like electrocuting people to death or making them breathe poisonous gas is more humane.

Never mind the chair, a tall tree and a short rope is much better for the environment. He could gain carbon credits.

I say sacrifice him to the old gods by dumping him into a active volcano.

Oh and live stream it.. with a 10 dollar fee, and all the money goes to families of the ones he murdered.

It’s a waste of resources is the problem, he’s never going to get out of jail (nor should he) so why let him be a drain on society?

Why not just handcuff him to the courthouse steps...and leave him to the mercy of the family members of his victims? I don't really like the idea of the State doing the killing.

Or we could cut off his arms and legs, remove his eyes, ears, nose and tongue and float him in a bathtub full of a popular liquid hallucinogen for half and hour or so, then light him on fire for about 45 seconds - not long enough to kill him, but just to cause excruciating pain and terror. I mean, if we're going for blood lust, let's at least make things interesting.
