A former campaign employee from the 2020 presidential bid of Sen. Bernie Sander filed a labor complaint this week, alleging that some employees faced retaliation for involvement in organizing for a collective bargaining agreement.

The employee, who has not been publicly identified, filed the complaint with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) on Tuesday, according to a redacted copy of the charge obtained by Bloomberg Law.

The complaint alleges that Sanders’ campaign made unionized employees work additional days without commensurate days off, thus violating the terms of their collective bargaining agreement.

Campaign management "retaliated against me when I organized the bargaining unit and sent an email requesting compliance with the [collective bargaining agreement],” the individual wrote in the charge.

Irony is just so ironic, huh? If true, what a hypocrite. Am I surprised, heck no. Bernie Sanders, a man that owns multiple houses, and until only recently paid his employees below the $15 minimum wage he has campaigned upon, now is being charged with labor violations by former employees.

It's typical of these socialist politicians, advocate spending and sharing everyone else's hard earned money, but not theirs.

All of these politicians and progressive left are hypocrites. They don't live their own lives, run their own businesses, in teh way they claim we should be doing so. Before digging in my pocket or telling me how to run my affairs, show me you do it in yours FIRST.

Telling me to pay more taxes when you don't voluntarily pay more than required is being hypocritical.

Telling me to pay my employees $15/hr when you don't voluntarily do so with your own is hypocritical.

Telling me I can't have a firearm when you have armed security is hypocritical.

Telling me I have to send my kid to a public school when you can send yours to a private school is hypocritical.

With leftist, you have to ignore their policies and evaluate what they actually do in their lives. For them it is do as I say, not as I do. None of their policies ever apply to their elites.

It is hilarious. Think of all the hollywood leftists... the movie industry is filming in Canada, GA, and all kinds of places outside of CA to lower costs. All these big actors, etc set up LLCs, partnerships, etc to avoid income taxes.

Again, with leftists, you have to watch what they actually do, not what they say.

Al Gore living in a 20,000 square foot home and flying private jets while telling all you plebs to reduce your carbon foot print.

Sorry, in the tiny little 60 employee company where I work, the owner does very little hiring, it is mostly done by 3 of the Department heads.

If you were really up in arms over such a small (in fiscal amount) and most likely non-existent infraction, then why would you accept that Trump has avoided tax and hasn't released his taxation records, which would be for significantly larger sums?

"Orange man good", obviously. What other reason could there be? Trump is infallible.

Please show me where, in any of the posts in this thread I mention Trump at all. See, unlike YOU, I am not obsessed with him at all. I am calling out ONE hypocrite here, Bernie Sanders.

And for the umpteenth time, I never voted for Trump. However, I WILL call out anyone that campaigns on a platform of taking MY hard earned $$$ and giving it to others when they, themselves, are not leading the way by doing exactly that first.

Being against Bernie Sanders does NOT automatically translate to Trump is God.

Sheesh people, some of you gotta get Trump outta your heads as the first thought and actually debate the issues at hand for once.

Oh noes, Bernie isn't perfect!

Remember that Trump has knowingly employed illegals, felons and prostitutes.

He also says things that aren't true, for the shock value it has on social media ("I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters").

lol do your fingers hurt when scraping the bottom of that barrel?

But in this case I believe he had no clue anything like this was happening.

Bernie CAMPAIGNED on this stuff, and he was actually doing the opposite. Newsflash, politicians lie. ALL politicians. But to campaign on these topics and advocate in favor of taking my money to pay others, while HE screws over his own employees and is a millionaire with multiple homes is despicable, not "imperfect".

But, nice try deflecting. Sorry your love Bernie lied to all of you out there.

OK but back to the specific topic, it appears that Bernie thought he was renegotiating the collective bargaining agreement and gave them a $6,000 wage rise, asked them to work extra days.

The former employee took the wage rise but is now arguing that the working hours should be as per the previous agreement.

I don't think that this employee has an actual case, but it does make good spin for the Trump 2020 campaign. This is the same sort of fake news that the Russian trolls were pushing out back in 2016 and now we see the Trump aligned news media doing the same thing.

If you were really up in arms over such a small (in fiscal amount) and most likely non-existent infraction, then why would you accept that Trump has avoided tax and hasn't released his taxation records, which would be for significantly larger sums?

Trump admits he did everything in his power to avoid taxes, you show me a business or working person who doesn’t.
I’ll give you a tip, you won’t find even one.

Bernie on the other hand preached about a min wage and fair working conditions as a point of policy but then went on to prove it was all BS with his actions.

Trump was screwing the government which we can all get behind, Bernie was screwing his workers which no one in their right mind should get behind

The government is entirely funded by the workers through taxation. It's a fairly basic concept.

Therefore, Trump is screwing the workers, just at a larger scale and for greater sums of money.

... and, please explain how raising their income by $6,000 is screwing them?

The point of collective bargaining is that everyone is trying to achieve a fair wage for the work provided. This seems to have happened here but now someone wants the extra cash but thinks that there was no agreement on work hours.

No, and neither is Bernie.

There was a collective bargain between the union and Saunders for more money on the condition of an increase in working hours during the busiest time during the campaign.

This guy is rejecting a condition of that agreement and the press is trying to spin it as if Bernie did something wrong.

It isn't a class action, it's one solitary guy.

Yeah, Victorina Morales said that Trump knew she was undocumented, that she spoke personally with Trump at times, and that there were others employed at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster who were also similarly undocumented.

I know, TDS sufferers will say all kinds of things - look at how many people have accused Trump of things, only to walk it back later - or have it proven beyond a reasonable doubt to be wrong or a lie.

Like most of these elitist scum who prey on working people for votes, they don't practice what they preach. No surprise there.

that practice is wholly anti union

not surprised you support that

The facts of the case mean little to these people. Who is accused is a much bigger determinant of whether they believe the accuser. Accuse Trump? Believe them 100%. That's as much thinking as goes on over there.

That's because they don't actually support unions. They support big voting blocs they can count on in the next election, so all that matters is looking like they support unions. Same for the minority votes. It doesn't matter if their policies have done nothing but push people further into poverty for the last how many decades. As long as you can get the media to maintain the fallacy that they support minorities and the other side are racists, it doesn't matter what they do. All they care about are those votes.
