NEWS: Russian Defence Chief - No Defence Will Stop New Russian Nukes

Why on the world are we obsessed with building bigger weapons that can wipe out our planet? The only reasonable reason to built more nukes is to use them on an oncomming asteroid. Is the world MAD or are we not being told something?

If you follow weapons developement, then you'll see no one is seeking weapons that get bigger. They're looking for more controllable power. Most recent weapons developement here in America is for smaller nukes for ground penetration, large demolition and block-level devastation.

The Russians simply seek a better delivery system. The weapon works fine with a conventional warhead too. Crippling infrastructure works wonders at getting a population such as America to beg their leaders to surrender.

Other developements, lasers to eliminate single targets precisely, without the need of big bombs to hit one vehicle, or individual. And all sorts of mean "non-lethal" or "less lethal" tricks in developement for management of crowds, foreign and domestic. Should be ready in time for President Hillary to have her hand-picked FBI director use on any "anti-government" groups or concerned gun owners.
