That is funny..

Old Neil degrasee Tyson ‘s startalk episode this week is on the moon landing, and how really the moon is the only thing we did first.. Russia won every other sector of the space race, but we kinda moved the goal post and pretended the moon was the pinnacle.

Not to downplay the effort... we just don’t think about the fact Russia did EVERYTHING else first.
This is why it's in the MudPit.

It's amazing what we accomplished 50 years ago, and how we really haven't learned much since then. Everyone looked up in wonder for a few days, then dove right back down into the pig crap.

Also, nasa site is kinda cool: www.nasa.gov...

America is the best and greatest country in the world.

This is my world, my livelyhood, my HOME.

I will defend it at all cost and comtinue to ensure that America leads technology, through innovation and creativity.

Happy anniversary to our accomplishments, American accomplishments.

We have learned a great deal in the last 50 years.
Hubble alone has made terrific discoveries.
Mars, venus, Jupiter have all been visited and studied.

Manned mission have alot of problems to overcome first though.
In due time.

Think about the balls it took to do that

That’s what a lot of the deniers leave it out. If we had the exact same technology that they had today . We would have never pulled it off .

It was only four years earlier that the first rudimentary computer was ever used in space for guidance. Nowadays it would take us four years to decide what color the casing was going to be.

The reason we succeeded was that the safety stops were pulled out . The risk was acceptable at that point in our history . Just ask Gus Grissom, Ed White and Roger Chaffee’s families.

Yup Apollo 1 fire now a days would have ended our space program, we certainly would not have had a fairly quick (for the fed) investigation and then got back to the business of getting into space.

The military needed to be in space so that's why nothing stopped to testing.

I think a lot of people dislike America, because they are so loud and overly patriotic that it just becomes cringe. 🙄

Cant remember which. He was the softball coach as well. And you should see the sigs in my cousins birthday cards.

Rip Uncle Don..my inspiration for joining the AF.

Scientists can't be trusted. Education makes you stupid. Blind worshiping of authority figures in power is more important than anything resulting from science or engineering. Nobody likes math. Everyone loves scapegoating ragheads and wetbacks for all their problems!

China has all the brain power now. The US is just a banana republic with aircraft carriers and huge amounts of debt.

You must believe that your leftist cred gives you license to use racist language.

Nice job.

Americans have many reasons to be proud.
This is just one of those reasons.

When a country resents another country for being proud of it's accomplishments...it just means they are jealous.

If your brother or sister was proud of getting a huge promotion for a major accomplishment at work...and you resent them for celebrating...you're jealous.

This, while the rest of the world gives up on their national sovereignty, cultures, and uniqueness for a replacement policy.

Sorry, but I fail to see what the point is.

What is it that you find displeasing about celebrating our accomplishments?
