Perhaps not.

What if another species had “help” and were just outright given the tech to travel the stars?

This would be like aliens landing in 1850, giving us tech and then sticking around to show us how to use it/keep it up to date. We wouldn’t need to figure anything out - it’s all done for us. Or said another way at, Flying around in the space craft would be like most people driving a car today - people use the car but most have no idea how it actually works/couldn’t fix it/can’t explain it.

So yeah - there are multiple ways that a space faring civilization could be all-in less intelligent than us.

But, I find that to be unlikely/improbable however.

Although this is quite unlikely in the cosmos, I like the idea.

But in practice, that would obviously require the existence of more than one sentient intelligent species, with one being so advanced that they actually traveled to the ither's home system and "lenses them a hand" etc etc.

But it's still interesting.

Even so, human beings currently do not fully understand all there is to know about the Cosmos. For all we know, our understanding of cosmology and physics and quantum physics and mechanics etc etc may still be in its infancy - there may even be "shortcuts" across space or ways to "shortcut" that we may be hitherto ignorant about...

Full conscious connection to the non physical realm equals unlimited access to knowledge. So yes I think Aliens are more intelligent. a reply to: Skyfox81

If humans would have more of a hive mind mentality and everyone would work for the entire human race, we probably would have invented cars 2000 years ago. Hard work and all, but that wouldn't make us more intelligent imo.

You can take any person from 5000 years ago and they are basically the same as us. Takes a lot more than a few thousand years to develop any form of higher intellect. So chances are, if you ever come across any of them, they are far ahead of us in most aspects.

But that's just intellectually. Doesn't mean that they cant be a bunch of a-holes though.
