This needs little in the way of information other than I was just there, 42 000 people in attendance and cash has just been removed... Now you discerning folk should look to see just how isolated we are here and at least be concerned .

This is a big deal regardless of the short op.

Well, it kinda does need information. I'm in Australia, and have no idea what you're referring to.

Is it like when I went to the Claremont showgrounds to see slipknot, and we were given paper bracelets to let us buy beer, but before we even had 3 down, they cut off the beer and made us drink water?

Because that was a terrible thing. And I will not stand for that sort of shenanigans from western Australia..

Splendour in the grass... If you don't know what that is you should look inwards.

It's true. I'm not a hippy hippy love shaker who enjoys time spent in the grass looking for the splendour I spilled.

Was this at nimbin?

I think losing your splendour in the grass has caused you to feel bad

Never mind, the power is back on now.

So... I googled this event.

I am not sure if you meant grass or... well.. Yep, happily not aware of this event, and thankfully won't be aware of it in future.

Oh the mardi gras????? Is it?????

No wonder majority of responders don't know what your talking about.

Largest festival whatever it actually is must be pritty crappy - doesn't the footy regularly top that on a weekly basis multiple times at different grounds?

Why should we be concerned about self imposed isolation. Cashless or not.

Give me a break.

When the whole country goes Cashless well then youve got a thread.

Well the MCG holds 100.000 so if it was held there they could all go to the loo at the same time and not have to line up lol

42000 people in a paddock for 4 days, the festival going cashless is huge and a sign of things to come. The company that run splendour also do all the falls festivals as well as other events, they will all be going cashless from this point.

I'm not saying you should be concerned, however all the conspiracy talk of a cashless society heading our way this a very large step in that direction.

So is this like Australia's Burning Man? Because I have also never heard of it, and the picture shows me why.

Lining up for the loo is putrid, there's hundreds of porta potties.

The event is on a large property, there are 3 stages as well as several tents which blast out hip hop and other electronic music, a couple of hundred food trailers and masses of other stuff, they couldn't fit it all in the mcg.

It's a music festival, the picture posted by gallop is a selfie at the last Mardi Gras he went to.

Burning man I believe is am anti consumerism event, this even is nothing like that this 40000 people getting high and drunk and messy, there are heaps of stalls selling all sorts of stuff, this event is glutinous.
