I live in manchester lol, i live in swinton to be exact. and yes there was a fire i remember because we were the only street on my side of the east lancashire raod to have the phones etc. I never even knew about thi to be honest

i already did a post on this a few months ago...(originally being from manchester)....my pal has been in the tunnels and he said there quite strange.....cold war technology sitting next to modern day telecommunication equipment....he even said there was some ww2 vehicles parked in there such as trucks and alike.....he said that in parts there easily large enough to drive two trucks down side by side.....i dont think there particularly easily accesible to the public but my pal also siad he didnt see anything down there that looked odd or secret?
