If anyone wants to see a daily sunspot report you can go to space weather.com. Solar activity is one of my interests and for the past 15 years or so I've been visiting the site daily to check the sunspot numbers. So far this year there's been 123 days with no sunspots and there has generally been only one small sunspot on the days the sun was active. I've only seen one day this year that had 2 sunspots. Mostly it's been either 1 or none.

Part of the problem is the fudging of information.

“It is nowhere near as warm as it’s ‘supposed’ to be,” says climatologist Dr. Patrick Michaels. “The computer models are making systematic, dramatic errors.”

There are 32 different computer models used to predict the climate, all of them run by government entities. And all of those models, except for the Russian model, are predicting far, far too much warming. The Russian model pretty much matches reality.

I believe that the reason Oceans are warming, is due to underground Volcanic activity. We know during the Solar Minimum ignites a Volcanic charge. We understand this activity creates a cooling effect, mini ice age. I have no faith in the AGW theory at all and believe it to be a ploy. If they could tax the air,,, oh wait!

An underground facility wouldn't be used for Humanity other than the Special people. They don't like us. Remember? They would sooner kill us all off.

A few hundred feet under ice and snow might not fair well for them in the long run. What if the ice age lasts longer? We must consider that as well.

The last time there was a prolonged solar minimum, it led to a ‘mini ice-age’, scientifically known as the Maunder minimum - which lasted for 70 years.

During a solar maximum, the Sun gives off more heat and is littered with sunspots. The sun gives off less heat in a solar minimum due to a decrease in magnetic waves.

Currently, we are in the solar maximum, but in 2021 or sooner, the temperatures given off from the Sun will begin dropping as we enter the solar minimum.

2020 will more than likely have none. In 2017 there was something like 15 - 17 sunspots for that entire year.

BTW we still doubled our population from 1400 to 1700.

This combination of solar ebb and flow, (max and min) has the most effect, but it's complicated in that you can have balancing forces as you suggest.

He said you can't really talk about them in isolation.

It does appear that the warming will be balanced out by the solar minimum. However, it also has complex weather effects which can modulate, like the Gulf stream does, warming certain areas.

At this point, our Astronomy professor said in 2015, we don't have enough data to say where it's going, up or down, and we need to input complex forces to get the overall and that may vary throughout various regions.

Not to make light of the trends, or the isolated break up of glaciers and that Alaska is having a heating trend which could start melting the permafrost. So there is cause for concern.

Glad I'm not only one notice. Has been visiting spaceweather for 10+years. The sun is quiet, very quiet. Don't forget, the sun is #1 energy source for the earth. Grand solar minimum is possibly. The history data show that it does exist. Exciting time we live in!
Dont need all Phage scientific data. This has been covered hundreds time. Search up Phage's explanation about sunpots and solar activity related.

The reason they give such good/deep sound is that they were made from trees growing in a minimum period (ie not much) so the rings were extremely tight together.
