U.S. Congressman Eric Swalwell has announced he is dropping out of the Democrat race for President !!

Apparently his clever tactics weren't good enough to raise enough money and support.

His national polling didn't help either.

Congressman Swalwell was hovering around 1% popularity give or take 1/4%.

Many Candidates will be dropping out before the Primaries.

Only a select few will remain until the Convention next year.

Rep. Eric Swalwell drops out of 2020 Dem presidential primary

California Rep. Eric Swalwell on Monday dropped out of the race for his party’s presidential nomination, becoming the first of what's expected to be many Democrats to give up their presidential aspirations as the crowded field winnows down.

Swalwell, who in recent polls failed to garner even one percent among primary and caucus voters, said he was abandoning his presidential run in favor of focusing on getting reelected to House of Representatives.

“Being honest with ourselves, we had to look at how much money we were raising and where we were in the polls,” Swalwell said during a news conference at a union hall in Dublin, Calif. “We have to be honest about our candidacy.”

Why doesn’t he fund his own primary campaign like Trump did if he cares about the country so much?

He would be a risk to national security. Might sell country secrets for some weekend money.

I guess he doesn’t have anything to lose. Who would’ve thought a liberal can’t manage money.

OMGWTFBBQ! No way!

I mean, who?

Just imagine the hubris of this guy. "You know what this country needs right now? ME. A guy no one outside of his home state has ever heard of and who is hated by at least half of those."

BYE. (Don't!) quit.

Can I have his stuff?

I'd like to see each failed candidate donate all extra campaign donations to a charity. Should be mandatory.

I will give anyone credit that at least goes up for the nomination.
It is not being "liberals cant manage money".
Like the old Kenny Rogers song goes :
"You got to know when to hold em
Know when to fold em
Know when to walk away
Know when to run"

This explains a lot about California's financial situation. Just look at the people they elect to office.

Our ex Gov is running as well, which is a strange joke as even he admits he is lousy at schmoozing wealthy donors and no great shakes at debate. His staff quit and urged him to drop out and run for senate instead and he replied that he doesn't have the passion for legislation and would prefer the "job" of president.

I mean, you can't make this stuff up. We are over the rainbow and halfway down the yellow brick road at this point.
