First, it was Democratic candidates exploring reparations for descendants of slaves and now we have Kamala Harris state that she would allow $100 billion of federal money to be used for housing assistance for black families. Why? According to Harris, it's needed to,"right the wrong and, after generations of discrimination, give black families a real shot at homeownership, historically one of the most powerful drivers of wealth.”

White House hopeful Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) released a $100 billion plan to invest in black homeownership Saturday, saying the proposal was one step toward closing the overall racial wealth gap.

“So we must right the wrong and, after generations of discrimination, give black families a real shot at homeownership, historically one of the most powerful drivers of wealth,” Harris told the Essence Festival on Saturday in New Orleans.

The plan would establish a $100 billion-dollar grant through the Department of Housing and Urban Development, of which up to $25,000 can be given to families or individuals to help with down payments and closing costs.

thehill.com...

Is anyone counting the number of handouts and entitlements the Democrats are supporting? I wonder why Harris is excluding poor white families who are struggling to purchase their first home?

Socialism stifles incentive and makes people dependent on government, not themselves, which appears to be the liberal ideal. Some would rather get a check than earn one.

Socialism is little more than mutually shared poverty, a version of "spreading the wealth around" with government taking from the productive and giving to the nonproductive.

They want the 2008 recession to get resurrected !! 💥🤣💥

The best way to "opportunize" home ownership is to create jobs !! 😎

Democrats hate it when the unemployment rates are down and average Middle Class income is up 😃

Aint nobody can afford the tax payments after a few years, even if you gave them that median priced inner city home of like $500K!

Cause that's still like nearly $1,000/mo in just Property Tax, alone!

Hmmm, maybe they should address the skyrocking price of homes. Prices that financially cripple a lot of people simply trying to put a roof over their heads. But I guess that path doesn't buy votes and would be equally beneficial to all of the disadvantaged. The more I think about this the more I am ashamed at my callousness. If housing were affordable again, the spice might not flow in such a humongous stream towards the campaign donors of these politicians.

At $25k a pop that's only enough for 4 million people. Maybe when they realize that they will argue for 1 trillion.

Well if we take the black population of ~37 million, of which ~21% are classified as in poverty. And if we average 4 people per household, that would come out to 1.85 million families of 4 who are in poverty and are black. How many of these are descendants of slaves I wonder?

Now if we take that 1.85 million into the $100 billion that comes out to $54,050 per family - which is more than enough to buy a house in some areas (buy a block in some cities) and a really good down payment in other areas.

Would a person be able to buy multiple properties using these funds? Is it only for their first house? Is a family of 12 eligible to buy 12 different houses - or even multiple houses per person?

Would J-Z or Lebron James be eligible to leverage this $ and become land lords/barons?

This is all because , as I have pointed many times now, the DNC is nothing more than a Trotskyist organization now.
All From: The WIKI: Trotskyism

According to Trotsky, his program could be distinguished from other Marxist theories by five key elements:

* Support for the strategy of permanent revolution, in opposition to the two-stage theory of his opponents.
* Criticism of the post-1924 leadership of the Soviet Union, analysis of its features; after 1933 also support for political revolution in the Soviet Union and in what Trotskyists term the deformed workers' states.
* Support for social revolution in the advanced capitalist countries through working class mass action.
* Support for proletarian internationalism.
* Use of a transitional programme of demands that bridge between daily struggles of the working class and the maximal ideas of the socialist transformation of society.

On the political spectrum of Marxism, Trotskyists are usually considered to be towards the left. In the 1920s they called themselves the Left Opposition, although today's left communism is distinct and usually non-Bolshevik. The terminological disagreement can be confusing because different versions of a left-right political spectrum are used. Anti-revisionists consider themselves the ultimate leftists on a spectrum from communism on the left to imperialist capitalism on the right, but given that Stalinism is often labeled rightist within the communist spectrum and left communism leftist, anti-revisionists' idea of left is very different from that of left communism. Despite being Bolshevik-Leninist comrades during the Russian Revolution and Russian Civil War, Trotsky and Stalin became enemies in the 1920s and thereafter opposed the legitimacy of each other's forms of Leninism. Trotsky was extremely critical of the Stalinist USSR for suppressing democracy and lack of adequate economic planning.

To clarify some ideas:
Wiki: Permanent Revolution

Permanent revolution is a term within Marxist theory coined by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels by at least 1850, but which has since become most closely associated with Leon Trotsky. Furthermore, the uses of the term by different theorists are not identical. For instance, Marx used it to describe the strategy of a revolutionary class to continue to pursue its class interests independently and without compromise despite overtures for political alliances and the political dominance of opposing sections of society. Trotsky extrapolated this to his conception of permanent revolution as an explanation of how socialist revolutions could occur in societies that had not achieved advanced capitalism. Trotsky's theory also argues: that the bourgeoisie in late-developing capitalist countries are incapable of developing the productive forces in such a manner as to achieve the sort of advanced capitalism which will fully develop an industrial proletariat; and that the proletariat can and must therefore seize social, economic and political power, leading an alliance with the peasantry.

Wiki: Two-Stage Theory

The two-stage theory, or stagism, is a Marxist–Leninist political theory which argues that underdeveloped countries such as Tsarist Russia must first pass through a stage of capitalism before moving to a socialist stage.
Stagism was applied to countries worldwide which had not passed through the capitalist stage. In the Soviet Union, the two-stage theory was opposed by the Trotskyist theory of permanent revolution.
While the discussion on stagism focuses on the Russian Revolution, Maoist theories such as New Democracy tend to apply a two-stage theory to struggles elsewhere.

Wiki: Political Revolution

A political revolution, in the Trotskyist theory, is an upheaval in which the government is replaced, or the form of government altered, but in which property relations are predominantly left intact. The revolutions in France in 1830 and 1848 are often cited as political revolutions.

Wiki: Deformed Workers' State

In Trotskyist political theory, deformed workers' states are states where the capitalist class has been overthrown, the economy is largely state owned and planned, but there is no internal democracy or workers' control of industry. In a deformed workers' state, the working class has never held political power like it did in Russia shortly after the Russian Revolution. These states are considered deformed because their political and economic structures have been imposed from the top (or from outside), and because revolutionary working class organizations are crushed. Like a degenerated workers' state, a deformed workers' state cannot be said to be a state that is transitioning to socialism.

Wiki: Social Revolution

Social revolutions are sudden changes in the structure and nature of society. These revolutions are usually recognized as having transformed in society, culture, philosophy, and technology much more than political systems.

Wiki: Proletarian Internationalism

Proletarian internationalism, sometimes referred to as international socialism, is the perception of all communist revolutions as being part of a single global class struggle rather than separate localized events. It is based on the theory that capitalism is a world-system and therefore the working classes of all nations must act in concert if they are to replace it with communism. Proponents of proletarian internationalism often argued that the objectives of a given revolution should be global rather than local in scope—for example, triggering or perpetuating revolutions elsewhere.
Proletarian internationalism is closely linked to goals of world revolution, to be achieved through successive or simultaneous communist revolutions in all nations. According to Marxist theory, successful proletarian internationalism should lead to world communism and eventually stateless communism. The notion was strongly embraced by the first communist party, the Communist League, as exercised through its slogan "Proletarians of all countries, unite!", later popularized as "Workers of the world, unite!" in English literature.

Understanding these terms will help everyone out this election cycle. In a nut shell, the main difference between a Communist System and a Trotskyist System is that under a Communist System the people are pushed into a governing style that benefits the State and only allows the people to exist, BUTunder a Trotskyist System the people are forced into a chaotic environment with only the state as having a sense of stability, thus making people want to join the states governance in order to avoid the chaos and get protection the state offers.

where are property taxes that high that its a 1000 a month? mine are 1800 a year....so 1000 a month seems crazy high unless your in like a 9000sqf home . even when i was looking in texas it was only 4000 a year for some of the dang near mansions i was looking at

edit to add it seems its almost cheaper to buy then rent in a lot of cases but it seems credit keeps most people from being able to get loans not the money its self so would not a reform of loans or like making it easier for people to get loans specifically for homeowner ship like the fanny mae first time home owners thing be smarter then just lump sums in guise of reparations?

for example when i moved here(montana) my mortgage was 1000 a month and average rental for a 4-5 bedroom was around 1000-1500 a month , now with my house paid off, rents have risen to around 900-1200 for a 3 bedroom with out utilities included ,on plus side my house has roughly tripled in value in about 10ish years

There are a ton of people who could never afford homes of their own, like my Husband and I. No special interest group should get more help than anyone else, no matter what race they are. There is so much divisiveness in this Country it's unbelievable.

SO it's not about buying votes (though that is a side benefit they see, I'm sure), but rather it's about creating a system that people will want, since not joining their side would be choosing to live in a world of uncertainty and chaos.

Almost everywhere in the entire state of California

in California, the property tax is close to 2% of the purchase price.

Some are paying closer to 1.75% or less - if they buy in the few unincorporated areas of CA state that dont have dedicated city police, etc.

2% of $500k purchase price for typical tiny 500 square foot (or less!) 'starter' home in Orange County (California's most populated county) is still 10,500/yr

That's funny since she even admits that she is India/Jamaican. How is she African American? I would think that her antics would give Booker a boost in the polls since he is African American. I guess the MSM and their "polls" tell us what to believe, but personally I'm not a puppet so they can get their hands off my (T&C Violation), and tell the friggen truth about this for once.

www.zillow.com... mansion in georgia 750 a year in taxes for a 6400sqf home that goes for 350ish k

www.zillow.com... here is a mansion in texas with property taxes of 25k a year so i guess this is what you were talking about? house is 375k, and over 7k sqf dunno how many people would be going for these though that dont already have money

www.zillow.com... but here again in elpaso 7 k a year which is alot least from my perspective 4800sqf

so other then a few HUGE homes in texas with super high property taxes does not seem like its that common, ive looked all over the usa mostly as a hobby (i like architecture) but it seems that at least in the states i looked at not many cross the crazy monthly property tax levels of "1000" a month(12k a year) unless your in a mc mansion
