With this many quakes in clusters with varying intensity especially with larger magnitudes these are not aftershocks but precursors for something much worse...
Hope it’s not the case but stay safe...

I think if I lived in the area of the quakes I would be taking a holiday away from there for a couple of weeks.

It's not over yet. I think there are is still going to be another bigger one farther down to the south. or, maybe even north since it moved so much, it may travel back up north too.

My lady friend used to live in Ridgecrest. They had a lot of earthquakes there. She did a commercial for Sony once that featured an earthquake in it, You've probably all seen her. She was in the Subaru commercial with Paul Hogan , The one with the elephant at the oasis that hosed off the windshield after he went through the mud.

You might want to re-word your title so you can enter a larger number with each thread.

July 4, 2019 = 6.9

July 5, 2019 = 7.1

July 6, 2019 = ???

No, don't say that! I hope it doesn't strike Nor Cal because I like there and it would be terrible to have a very powerful earthquake to strike.

But it didn't move so much. It originated near Ridgecrest, like the other one...

Not another one! I mean, I know it's an aftershock but that's still big!

That's one thing I wish science was capable of doing. Realistically we can' know beforehand when the next big earthquake will happen. Hopefully in the future we will, but in the meantime it's best to be prepared!

Yes, bigger than yesterday...looks like the activity is moving north towards the Coso volcano group just miles away?

That location is either building up stress in adjacent faults, or relieving stress. Experts are looking at data from thousands of underground sensors, and are miffed. Maybe its not a "naturally occurring" series of quakes.
