Meaningless symbolic gestures.

Remind me again xuen how do you feel about elites using symbiology?

MSM in a wild frenzie

That part is funny because I really believe this is just a show.

It doesn't mean a deal is any closer to being made.

Remind me again how many presidents have stepped on NK's soil. It's not about a deal being made, but I'm sure you already knew didn't really know that. MSNBC won't let you.

Let the Trump ass kissing begin.

The only reason this was possible was because of lil Kim, his family wanted nothing to do with the outside world, both the rebs and the Dems had tried for decades, only after Kim Jong ills death was it possible because lil Kim was willing to talk.

But let the sheeple have their day, gimme a T gimme a R...

Ahh, there's one of ATS's Reeeeeple.... Thanks for not letting us down.

Remember the tweet? It was "I'll be at the border if Kim wants to meet me and say Hi." Not "I'll be meeting with Kim for more peace talks."

Oh well. At least the good of America see's what this is.I don't expect the media to be very generous after Trump won both DNC debates anyways.

I'm surprised Trump hasn't hired Dennis Rodman as his ambassador to North Korea.

All the left knows how to do anymore is show their ass.

And they even have an 'ass' for their mascot. But, they are going to need a new one...one that represents their hate for Americans and our Constitution, one that craps on everything, and vomits bitter vitriol when we succeed. What kind of symbol could they replace their ass with?

Ummm...methinks they could think of something...quite Luciferian...

Remind me again are the nk people still suffering while kim gets his photo op?

I learned about this from ats. Not the news.

And your right it is definitely NOT about making any deals. Pure pageantry.

Let me guess, what they talked about is "confidential". Figures. Americans have a right to know.

Well you at least say its better than NK test missiles overflying Japan, and NK artillery shelling SK islands...or was that rumors and gossip. Like I said two of our biggest allies are likely sleeping a little better because of a stupid handshake.

...and what, pray, would you have him do?

I'd ask what have 11, that's eleven, previous Presidents accomplished in the nearly 3/4's of a century that Trump has done in two years...

North Korea was, and still is to a large degree, an international pariah for most of that 3/4's of a century. The tensions between the Korea's is at an all time low, tensions with South Korea's allies is at an all time low...

Yet he has, by your account, accomplished nothing.

He's drawn out North Korea's leader for talks, nothing greatly substantive yet, but they're talking, rather than trading barbs.

Yet he has, by your account, accomplished nothing.

What would you consider an accomplishment??? It's a start. You don't remove 3/4's of a century of hostility over night, or even in two years, but you can sure as Hell get it started.

Eleven Presidents (Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Bush, and Obama) accomplished what in nearly 75 years, again??

Since he, according to you, is screwing it up--OK, put your money where your mouth is, enlighten us with your wisdom.

Things are not going to change over night. Three quarters of a century of tyranny do not go gently into that good night. Rather it goes cursing into the darkness. The talks, however they turn out, are a glimmer of hope that it just might end peacefully. That's good for everyone involved.

For things to truly change, the dynastic Kim's have to go. The job is convincing them to do so peacefully. In order to do that will require sitting down and talking. Nothing less will work.

Can't you all understand that? If they're talking, they're not shooting.

Crossing the border as Potus meeting with a world leader is not the same as sneaking across and hiding in the back of some coyotes truck and evading border patrol then getting a job and get paid under the table. There is a difference and even you should know that.

a reply to: seagullI find it fascinating that while people are still trying to turn America communist, they are still complaining that Kim is a despot and that Trump must be also for seeking with him.

Communism is not going to get better if it’s done by people who sugar coat it with “free stuff socialism”.

Yeah, I suppose.

Trump gets paid regardless of if he gets the job done.

He also gets a helicopter ride, but my guess is that he still has to pay the driver for it.

Also, not technically 'crossing the border', either. The DMZ is on the border (cue the music):
