Hope I'm more interesting tomorrow. I'm tired and just want to hibernate. Lol

Don’t feel bad for taking it easy, Night. You’ve been through a lot lately with Mark, mammograms, etc.

We had commodore's loaded with the game "Oregon Trail" and "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?" Good days.

Good news is that the project I've been slaving on got me another gig in the bag.

Nice to read you come through with another gig. i miss the days of finding games in computer magazines that didn't require years of training to program in to the 64 or Vic 20.

Things are awful slow here and in the acronym thread.

Finally got to a good point to take a break in my project. I need to stretch after craning my neck forward to read an LCD all day.

G'day DoE,

Have finally got house power connected so I might pop in a bit more often. I know how much you and Rico like the acronym thread.

Big shout out to Hopenotfeariswhatweneed for his visit along with his young son. A first for me meeting up with a member. He had a little trouble returning up north I believe due to road closures/fires.

See you all on the boards. 4am here and enjoying electric lights.

Electricity! Something we all take for granted. Bit of glamping was had here for a while. Nice to be able to flush the 'dunny'.

Kind regards,

I wrote a thing. It's really weird. I don't know where the hell this stuff comes from.
The Dark Heart of Winter
Somebody in this stream I listen to is going to be reading stuff tonight about 8 EST. Hopefully my story will be read. You can listen here.

Very nice to read this! And uh... Electricity for granted? heck, i even take internet for granted. I have a great connection these days but in my former apartment i had all sorts of bugs going on... disconnecting and then a couple of hours offline. So my thought patterns were like "Okay, internet is out... can't go to ATS... *thinking*,,, okay maybe i will watch a documentary from youtube... but wait, the internet really is out" and and endless loop of that sort of stuff.

I don't actually know if that is a bit sad or funny or both

I am looking forward to read and hear your story! But not in a story mood right now... Just slept for 6 hours and now it's 1.30 AM, got some Native American flutes playing, and Tibetan meditation music, and stuff like that is good for me right now.

That story most likely won't leave you in a calm and peaceful mood unless you're deranged.

I don't have my Australian dictionary here so what is glamping? Sounds like a fun word. I remember what a dunny is though. Lol

My story was the first read. It's really weird having somebody narrate something you wrote. It's almost like somebody else wrote it lol.

Would be nice to get a bit more acronym action but it's really no worry. Good to hear you've gotten some services back. You seem in good spirits considering all that's going on.

Question: are they still called "chooks" when they are on your plate, or only when they are living?

Is it "chook" like "book", or like "spook"?

It is chook pronounced as in book.

It is called 'chicken' mostly although Roast chook is acceptable.

Do you know why many animals change their designation after being butchered?
