I told what I saw with my own eyes. I don't count NYC as a good example of true American culture.

Head further down New Jersey you will see thousands of acres of Asparagus and head to Cape May for the "Cape May" diamonds that are in the ocean.

the people born and raised in new york city that have known Donald Trump's scamming ways since day one beg to differ. The Central Park 5, housing scandal, numerous adulterous relationships, mafia construction allegations, bankruptcies and shady business deals. The real New Yorkers know he's a scumbag but of course he will have supporters who choose to make America great again like in the 70's, who do you think the people in this video and their children are voting for? m.youtube.com... sad that people acted this way only 40 years ago. Some things never change.

Nah, more like '88-89. We don't want a return to the Jimmy Carter era thank you very much. Nice try though.

I have never seen a MAGA hat except on TV and I live in the south.

I was in Alexandria a couple of months back, saw a younger Asian woman wearing one. Now it could well have been a tourist just getting some local (USA) color in their lives with a story to tell back home.

To the OP, I will agree with you that support for the president is a good bit higher than some estimate. My particular anecdote is from the run up to the election, where a good friend who is an attorney in DC made the statement that there was no way FL was going to go to Trump. I expressed some disagreement with him on the subject, and his rationale was that the immigrant population of FL would never go for him. So I ask him if he'd been to FL lately, he had not, I had been. So I told him that some of the states that did not seem apparent to him would go to the president, he may want to re-evaluate until he'd actually driven around some of the communities.

The America represented on the TV isn't a false one, it is however a highly exaggerated one when it comes to proportionality.

You have found the real America.

So, real America is where Trump voters live?!

What about places that voted Democrat?
Are those places fake America and fake Americans?

Technically anti-American.

Not fake at all, or we wouldn't be suffering as a nation because of them.

Well than you're blind because I have.

In the south side of Texas, we go HEB, our local grocery and MAGA hats on a lot of older folks.

As much as I hate to admit it, I am a New Yorker. I live in upstate NY, about middle, east to west, and about 10 miles from the PA border in a city (only about 13,000 and I live out in the country) called Corning. Yes, that is the Corning glassware you have in your cupboards.

In 2015 I only saw a couple of Hillary signs, but lots of Trump signs. Most everyone I know thinks NY politics is ridiculous, and they only way the Governor wins is because of NYC.

It is very rural here, with lots of farmland, open spaces, forests and hills. In my travels I have met a lot of people with the wrong idea of NY State, they think everything is blacktop and tall buildings. Reality is we are hard working, down to earth people.

The only exception in our area is Ithaca, because of Cornell University, the place has become a liberal, socialist hotbed. I stay away from there if at all possible.

I am proud to say, I have never been to NYC, and never want to go there. Honestly it sounds like a sick, nasty place.

Worked in Ithaca at Cayuga Lake for months while I was there and it’s certainly an exception to the surrounding areas as far as Liberals goes, still a great town though. The Commons, although crowded during school year has a lot of great food. Maxie’s Supper Club has some killer shrimp n grits, yummmmm.

I was born NYC in 66. Most of my family identify as Republicans and some JBS. The intelligentsia of NYC in 60s were very anti-communist. That is why Roy Cohn, Trump’S mentor, is hated by commie left that took over when they pushed us out of NY with bussing and lack of law and order. This has been a 50 year plan of a Marxist plot that Trump knew about and waited when their arrogance blinded them. Now fish in a barrel.

There is a fake one?

Yes. NYC is a fake NY. All sanctuary type cities are fake USA.

Are you real?

I mean, wouldn't only a fake call themselves trueman?

Someone who was a trueman would never even entertain the thought that they could be fake.

Also, isn't Trump from NYC?

I'm living in the south, too. Rural Alabama, about a ten minute drive, or so, from the Georgia line (is it weird that the voice in my head sounded a lot like Uncle Jesse from the Dukes of Hazzard??). I see MAGA hats, bumper stickers, Trump 2020 signs etc... Especially the Trump 2020 signs and stickers.

Come to think on it, during our drive from SE Washington through the Heartland (Idaho, Wyoming, Utah, Nebraska, Missouri, Tennessee, and Alabama, I saw the same signs and stickers everywhere.

I, personally, may not think much of him...but there's no denying his popularity--though some choose to ignore it. His chances of being reelected are very good.

Yep, i didnt vote for trump but you cant say he desnt have the support. The guy is a rock star and has constant sold out stadiums. The lefts pool of candidates cant even fill up a porta potty combined in one of his convention.

2020 is trumps, unless the left is able to bring up their cheat game to levels never seen before. I think the left suckabilty right now has surpassed even hillaries suckabilty factor from last time.

I'm from Queens, NY and I'm with Trump! I was born and grew up not too far from him in Flushing, Queens...Literally a 5 minute ride or 10 minute bus ride up Utopia Parkway. My grandfather owned a hair salon on 215th Place and Hillside Avenue that Donald would take his mother every month to get her hair done and bring my grandfather coffee. Now I think it's a Pizza spot... New Yorkers (us city people) forget, HE IS ONE OF US. DON'T LIKE THE WAY HE TALKS? F*** OUTTA HERE, WHO HAS DIRTIER MOUTHS THAN US LMAOOO

Wanna know whats ironic? Every county in New York State voted for Donald Trump, with the exception of Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Nassau, Queens and Westchester and about 3 other nameless counties. All which are cesspools of liberals and democrats. Notice how Suffolk and Staten Island however voted in favor of Trump. They are the last remaining enclaves of conservatism in the big city (if you would consider Suffolk part of the big city, which I do).

Majority of times when I listen to libs/dems talk...they talk how America is sh**, it's racist, misogynist, etc....and they want to change it to "beautiful unicorn wonderland".

So yeah, plenty of these people are truly anti-american.

You guys are right 100%. I was a little upset I couldn't find anything today, but I found the real America, I though it was almost impossible to find in this area anymore. What a treasure !

Plus, I think it nice that you go with one idea in mind and something turns your attention making it the subject of what the Universe was stating you needed to participate at that time and location. The opposite of The Twilight Zone. We can call your experience The Reality Zone.

Sadly, New York City stopped being sick and nasty decades ago, now it's an antiseptic corporate parody where there's an M&M store in Times Square.

mafia construction allegations

They're not exactly allegations. During the construction of Trump Tower the concrete company he used was run by the mob, the construction crew he used had mob ties, even his personal lawyer at the time was connected. Hell, construction workers in NYC were striking at the time and yet Trump Tower still got finished on time. But I'm sure that has nothing to do with the fact that the union boss leading the strike was working for the same Families that Trump had ties to.

It's funny how you refer to the 70s as the Jimmy Carter era when the GOP held the White House for the majority of the decade.
