Something elemental.
When you eliminate all the things that it's not (common political distraction, scaring our adversaries, a simple money scam by TTSA, etc) then it raises some pretty big questions. An overriding question becomes are these players rogue or do they have the blessing of Uncle Sam? I believe the evidence is quite strong that this is a government sponsored operation.
We know that the core group--let's call them Team Bigelow for now--have what many consider some pretty far out theories and beliefs.
If it's not a scheme to procure exponential defense spending (and it very well could be) then maybe we are being prepped to accept the reality of a non-human intelligence.
I'm starting to think that some kind of "reveal" actually is in the works, Johnny. If so, I suggest not taking it at face value. I know I won't.

What's incredible is that we caught the disinfo before they even were able to use it. The Navy hasn't used the parents yet as justification for the UFO sightings.. only the media has. Just wait... They're going to try and erase all those patent records of it getting denied the first 3-4 times, erase all those who had a hand in it's approval.. etc. They really really don't want disclosure

This post is pure speculation based on the usual dubious info from the last several decades, including portions of the novels DeLong put out, but, as mentioned, along with espionage, dimensions, high magic(k) and the occult in general, UFOs are commonly linked to the C word ... consciousness, I mean.
The C word opens a Pandora's Box ... filled with the list above.
Maybe a reveal includes the notion that consciousness is primary, and our worlds reflect our thoughts? Maybe groups can actually be influenced to manifest reality in an occult manner, rather than a purely physical/psychological one? Maybe other intelligence is everywhere, of varying temperament?
Basically, all the myths, tales and religions are as real as we make them... maybe visa-versa?
If that's the case, or a part of it, then the ones actually writing the script have a lotta power.
But, of course, for the easily disturbed and indignant, this is pure unadulterated speculation born of partially digested burritos and herbs on a Saturday afternoon.

Consciousness as a direct influence on reality is such a stale trope.
I wish people would stop attempting to "blow minds" with a concept that is literally in the book "To Kill A Mockingbird"
Such an old reference.
Everyone reads it in like 4th grade.
Zero creativity to try and bring it up in conversation, and no one can prove it, James Randi level.
Let it go, until you can convert oxygen into gold with a fart. Then, once you can do that, do me a favor, and spit some gold up somewhere else.
