The cost is so small you probably would be shocked when the buying is in bulk.
Our Government has provided millions to stinking dictators who abuse their People and give none of it to the actual suffering citizens of those countries. The world is lead a huge maffia and there is more to this than we are being told.

Wrong, the parents and smugglers dragging children through the desert are forcing children to be detained at the border for crossing illegally.

They have done it so much that it has overwhelmed the facilities we have in place to address the issue. Democrats refuse to negotiate and appropriate funds for effective prevention (the wall) to this situation, and they even refuse to fund expanding the facilities currently in place. Remember the bill that wanted to limit the number of beds? Well all that does is take beds away from children, because the problem is only getting worse.

It's all about priorities. We have plenty of money to drop 35,000 bombs per year in the Middle East. But no money for any social problems in the US.

Every individual that crosses instantly gets the rights to an attorney and a day in court. They get an attorney appointed to them, and that attorney legally must spend time on the case.

The dollar amount is in the billion range.

Do you want higher wages in the US? Do you want $15/hr minimum? Because if you do you should 100% be opposed to these economic migrants abusing our system. How will we ever see an economical benefit here in the US wage-wise, when there is a constant influx of low wage immigrants?

You can have one or the other...$15/hour or open borders allowing economic migrants...you cannot have both.

Didn't trump declare a state of emergency in order to funnel money into his border wall when Congress failed to provide him with the amount he wanted? What happened to that? I mean by what I heard he has managed to funnel a significant amount of money for his wall. I'm only mentioning it because it well it makes me wonder if he still has those emergency powers and can round up that kind of money when its something he wants then he sure the heck has the power to come up with the basic hygiene products for children!!
But if he can't it's still no excuse since the nonprofit groups have been offering to help since the last time the horror stories were in the news. Like people have brought up people and groups have been trying to donate things and they are being turned away. Mental health counselors have offered the services and yet for some reason having 8 and 9 year old kids playing mommy to babies and toddlers seem to be preferable. If the system is being overwhelmed then at least accept the help that is being offered free of charge for crying out loud. Our president is so intent on building his danged wall he seems to think he can move heaven and earth, swipe money from wherever he wishes to get it done. He sure the hell has the ability to fix at least some of these problems.... if he wants to...
Another thing, while it's true that if you break the law you are separated from your kids, it's more than likely your kids will be left in the care if your spouse of other family member than it is that they will spend any significant time in a foster home in the care of strangers. And if any foster home was found to be leaving babies and toddlers in the care of such young children would have license revoked! You just don't do that. Heck it's possible that you might have a few misgivings about leaving the two unattended in a room together for any length of time these kids have traveled a vast distance, some are sick., they are tired and unable to sleep, they have lost their parents and finding themselves pretty much alone, they are stressed out! And we are dumping babies and toddlers onto them telling them they are responsible for them. Young children who are have no idea what they are doing. Then we aren't providing them with what they need to do the job we are expecting them to do. And yet, some are worried about someone donating blankets that are carrying disease? Give me a break!!

And, I can't help it. I have to bring this up. I can't help but notice just how many of the pro-life crowd are here making excuses for the inexcusable, pointing fingers and placing blame.
It wasn't that long ago that some of yous may have been trying to convince me that there was no need to worry about how all those unwanted babies, even the horribly deformed ones, would be taken care of. That women who found themselves unable to care for the children they had because of complication in there pregnancy had nothing to fear. There would be plenty of help.
And here you are, yous can't even bring yourselves around to admit that treating kids this way is oh so wrong. You are just reinforcing what I've accepted as being the truth. People will be happy to blame you, point fingers at every one else in an attempt to place blame and responsibility but in the end they will just accept the unacceptable and come up with a thousand and one reasons why it's not their problem so they don't need to lift a finger to help. Heck yous can't even admit that treating kids like this is wrong! Just use the story to blame your political opponents.

We're only 20 trillion in debt with all our existing social programs faulting due to congress slipping specialized fund into the general fund. Maybe dems should allocate the reparation money or the free college and healthcare money they are harping about.

You cant keep adding things to a budget that you've been overshooting for years. I know this I'm a broke American trying to get by fighting for my incompetent hugely ineffective government to stop stealing from me when they aren't providing the resources their already contracted to.

Both the house and the senate have laws passed to get funds to address the immediate needs. I'm not sure what differences there is between the two plans or which plan I would like better. But that doesn't matter because the senate Republicans are saying it's their plan as is or no plan. So who is refusing to negotiate.
And I disagree with the idea that this is 100% on the dems. INS is equipped as only a temporary holding facility but right now they are coming in but they aren't going out too quickly because the whole system is backed up. And that is due partly to the changes trump has put in place. Many of these kids have relatives, some even have parents here that would take them in. They would have been sent on to those relatives under earlier administrations. And they broke the families up. Where it used to be that if a mother or father came in with kid together, they would be treated as one unit going through the legal system, which means one set of lawyers, one judge, one legal case going through the system. Now we have way more cases jamming the courts and non-verbal babies and toddlers facing the judge alone. And need I remind you that. before this story broke, trump was planning a crackdown to round up thousands more people, some with children, to jam the system up more? Maybe I am wrong but I do believe that it was the dems that wanted to fund more judges and legal aide but the Republicans objected that one and trumps answer was something like let's just get rid of the judges, send them all home!! You do realize that they've picked up a few us citizens by mistake, don't you??
The op claims that the dems are refusing to fund ins, they even posted a news story from dec 2018 to support that claim. But, both houses were controlled by the Republicans then, weren't they? And if I an remembering right, they had an agreement but then trump changed his mind because it didn't give him as much money for his wall, which I will point out again, does nothing to change the current situation. And we've been stuck on the wall ever since.

But, they broke up the families and are processing them through separately and they've told the courts it's too much work to try to reconnect them. So, the results have been the parents are sent home without their kids.

Do our homeless and vets get free housing and toothpaste and beds? I agree we should help them and once their situation improves let them go through the process of becoming citizens or send them home. The democrats haven't acted in congress for an entire year saying we don't have an emergency at the border and most Americans are willing to help.

Still amazing the democrats can turn this 40+ year old issue into something Trump has done in 3 years. A record number of migrants died on Obamas watch and he set up camps and told them to stay home or risk dying. The democrats are master politicians at pointing fingers during elections and much easier when they have a villian

No, CPS would not take children out of a home from lack of a toothbrush.

My wife works in a school and they have children that are not cleaned, clean clothes, teeth brushed, kids are not fed etc. CPS will do a home visit if notified but unless there are clear signs of abuse no action will be taken. She's seen it a hundred times.

Why do you think schools send backpacks of food home with kids? Wash their clothes for them? It's down right maddening.
