There is some pretty convincing speculation that that picture is fake.

Also, why in the #e!! would a parent try to cross the Rio Grande River with a baby. That's just plain stupid.

That's what I thought too. Crisis actors. How does one drown AFTER crossing the river safely and making it to dry land?

But they were HIS motivations.
In no way the fault of the us government.
He and his offspring COULD have stayed in mexico and both would be ALIVE today.
His motivation.
His choice.

It’s sad to say.

But we might be the first country in human civilization to fall from “ feelings “.

That will confuse historians in the future.

Thanks !

That was the funniest thing I’ve seen all day !!!

The Democrats are the cause for constantly trying to leave the gates open. If there was a barrier (wall) in place the father and his daughter would have probably not even tried .

If a father and daughter wanted to visit Canada but were turned away .

Then the father decided to swim across the Saint Lawrence river .

Would Justin Trudeau be at fault ?

There is absolutely zero logic to any of the Democrats arguments anymore .

But then you can’t “logic” someone out of an argument when they didn’t use logic to come up with it in the first place.

I would have thought that the river is seen as one of the areas where they don't need a wall due to the impassibility of the terrain?

Clearly the guy floated his dead body across while using his dead child as a float. This whole story is outside of reason.

We have so many killings in Chicago every week, I have no problem looking at this man/child as an "alleged" death. Even if it's real, it's just 2 of thousands of people who die every day, due to their own mistakes. (Electrocution...eating too much...fighting.. etc.)

That is what I and others have said. No-one could blame Trump for it.

Yet you allude that the Democrats are saying that. Do you speak for them?

... and, was he even a Mexican? Do you even know?

This is clearly propaganda. Only an idiot would suggest that it supports one partisan side or another.

The darker you are, the less Democrats care about you. That's why MAINE started whining about immigrants this year. Too many from NIGERIA.

Seems english is confusing for you?

However, motivation for these people to take unreasonable risks and cross dangerously, is firmly at the feet of the US government through its many iterations, both Republican and Democrat

Sure thats not what you said.
Spread your anti-American agenda elsewhere.
You have a strange relationship with the truth.

Was he even Mexican??????

Who cares?? That has ZERO bearing. He was IN Mexico, why not just stay there?

Why was he trying to ILLEGALLY enter a country??

(He was NOT ‘fleeing’ anything at all, that’s for certain. Looking for a handout more like it, otherwise he would have appeared at the designated border crossing like any LEGAL immigrant does.
If he was an asylum seeker, he did it wrong)

That's pretty insensitive. I hope we, as Americans, never become that jaded at the sight of a dead young father and his child.

Not like you.

They don't care.

THEY don't care.

They don't CARE.

As many bodies as it takes to make a political point,,,

They don't care.

Disgusting people, really.

Weird that they have people that will continue to support them.

But that's where we are now.

Republicans for Choice From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Democrats for Life of America From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Perhaps the situation is more complicated than your opinion?

This tragedy being politicized is pure propaganda.

I guessed you missed the part where it about the border.

Oh!!!!

Here in America the border isn't the ocean.

I forgot your particular... circumstance again.

I apologize but in the realm of American politics online you are not really that memorable.

Yes but you are politicizing a tragedy, saying that the Democrats don't care. Yet the Reeeepublicans are the ones who seem to not give a damn about the humanitarian crisis there, because it might mess with their personal comfort and greed (you know, the whole "they come here to take our jobs and sponge off social services that WE pay for with OUR taxes").

Sure turn away those who don't really fit the criteria for asylum but don't accuse the ones that do fit of being drug dealers, rapists and terrorists, when they clearly aren't.

Take for instance all the stuff that Trump said about the caravans. Been 2 years, where's the evidence that any of it is true? Yet he escalates the rhetoric and classifies an improving situation into a fake 'national emergency'.

And to top it all off, you guys use this for propaganda?

Really?

The Rio grande river is the border, so that’s obviously not the reason .

This is the only thread I have seen on this, so you are quite right about who "here" is politicising this.

If that photo prevents others from risking their lives in that manner, their deaths were a worthy sacrifice.

Thanks. It's beneficial to see the "real" world, and accept it.

Man I'll bet the people who brought those children feel absolutely horrible right now. I mean, I know if I was responsible for bringing a poor defenseless child illegally into another country and then the child died because of my actions, I would feel TERRIBLE. I might even think about my actions and how they caused a poor innocent child to die. But hey, thats just me. Oh well, I'll just be sitting here enjoying my lemonade and cool breeze out on my porch secure in the fact that I didnt drag a poor innocent child through God knows what dangers and directly caused their death. AHHHHHHHH
