So if this lady doesnt know who her superiors voted for means that none of them voted for trump?

The lady didn't know much of anything did she. I think I would have asked, can we get someone from Google that can actually answer a question...lol

On a side note her need to quickly click the mic on and off was a little annoying. She would say her few words and click it off to need to click it back on a few seconds later. Add in the "thank you Senator" before most answers kind of annoyed me too.

He's been sued several times in court.

He's won every time.

This woman does not seem like the person the committee needs to be talking to.

I am sure there are regular people at Google who really believe the company is open and honest.

Likewise, it seems pretty evident there is a cohort (as uncovered by Veritas) who will use the companies power to influence elections. They seem like those who feel it is their moral duty.

It's this second group I would be interested in seeing before the committee.

I've used DuckDuckGo for years. Superior search engine that doesn't give you slanted results forcing you to go 4 pages in to find a non-biased link.

Not sure why people are too stupid to use engines other than Google.

How am I too stupid? My Google account is linked to everything even at work. What's stupid is supporting super powerful companies and not seeing the abuse

You actually answered your own question....
Dang

Ah there it is, the smearing and spin when caught red handed.

The woman is on video saying that Google were working to prevent the 'next Trump situation'.
Even IF you allow her to now pretend she meant Russian interference using social media and the internet, she STILL showed her bias by calling it the 'Trump situation'. To her, misinformation is all about Trump.

On a personal note, I do not like Senator Cruz, but boy-o-boy did I enjoy watching this video!

I hope they revoke googles 230 immunity status and make them change and truly become a content provider not a publisher if they want it back!

The problem is nothing ever comes from these grillings besides youtbe videos and sound bites. Just like the bailouts and the ceo who took a verbal beating but then laughed on the way out as they took tax payers money for their 50M bonus and sent their private jet gas bill to the tax payers.

I didn't say you were too stupid. Get some thicker skin man. I said people, if I meant you I would have said that.

I hear you. But now we have both Democrat and Republican senators talking about stripping Google's 230 status.

If they do that then Google will likely quit this and switch back to being a [fairly] neutral platform.

Treasonous corporations need to be brought to heel.

The railway monopolies in America were toppled, the Tech monopolies can be as well.

Not practical why?
Because the "free market capitalism" you all swear by is complete bs, or because the "free markets" havent decided this is an issue?

Which one?

Why should I support a super powerful company with an obvious political agenda that can sway the narrative in their favor? They'll only get more powerful and eat up all the competition and be a bigger threat to anything the Russian government could achieve.

If Google was conservative leaning and censoring progressives I'd be just as outraged.

Will you help me switch all my contacts songs and photos to my Bing account? Does Bing have YouTube or Bing drive?

I also use duckduckgo and will not go back to google. However, when you need something like an online translator you go back to using google unfortunately.

I'm going to point out the obvious. James O'Keefe III has a history of fraud. He has a history of editing videos to misrepresent statements made by his victims.

False.

My first thought on hearing the "next Trump situation" is that she was referring to the disinformation campaign launched in support of Trump and in many cases, simply as a way of collecting ad revenue from the clicks of unsuspecting boomers, who will follow and share pretty much any link from a site with a name like truepatriotnews247magapundit.com. (already registered, get your own fake news domain!)

Ah here is theantedeluvian trying to save us with his/her socialism and claims that only left-wing sources are legitimate. After all, he/she still backs Crowdstrike's lies despite the fact that they were caught lying about "the same Russian hackers who hacked he DNC also hacked Ukraine's artillery units..."

selectively edited and spliced the video to distort my words and the actions of my employer, and published it widely online.

Project Veritas has edited the video to make it seem that I am a powerful executive who was confirming that Google is working to alter the 2020 election. On both counts, this is absolute, unadulterated nonsense, of course.
...

Ironic how neither you or her don't call out CNN/MSNBC and other "left-wing sources" for doing exactly this, "selectively edited and spliced the video to distort..." More so when, for example in the case of POTUS Trump, every time they leave out the context of his statements...

Heck EVERY news source does edit videos and splice them to only put the parts they want their audience to hear. So why don't you, and other leftists complain about your sources doing it all the time?...

However, in this case she does say that they do want to control the next election... No amount of adding other statements she made before or after would change what she said...

BTW, it is also ironic that in her own "response" she contradicts herself.

...
I was having a casual chat with someone at a restaurant and used some imprecise language. Project Veritas got me. Well done.
...

Link

So which is it? Did she "use some imprecise language" or did Veritas splice her inteview taking out of context what she said in the interview?...
