There are no mass murders going on in usa detention facilities.

LOL Look who's moving the goal posts! I never claimed that US detention/concentration camps were death camps. You guys and your hyperbole!

So uh then what were all those wedding rings and rosaries for in your meme?
Lol
What a liar

Yep, the propaganda coming from her should be called out. It is a very dangerous game to play which can have the most unintended consequences. You guys have done good.

Memes are meant to be over the top hyperbole. Posts in defense of denying human rights to migrant children, like the ones posted in this thread, are not.

You have a wonderful heart and compassion for others, I totally get that and I admire that. We need more people like you in this world. I have to say I would have felt the same way and most likely done the same thing.

However, we are talking mass amounts of people. Kind of like a raft that can only take so many people. We can use analogies all day. The point is that there are laws in place. I suppose I'll throw more analogy as it comes to mind right now: so if you have people come into your home will you allow them to just break the door down first and say that they have as much right to live there because they are human never mind that it was you that worked for 30 years to afford. And, your children and wife live there with you but now the strangers that burst into your home are using the washroom all the time and your wife can't get a chance to get ready for her job, your kids are being shoved aside and no longer have access to the toys you paid for their personal use.

I understand that not everyone is my enemy. And that is not my angle of this discussion. However, it is a fact that there are bad groups of people who are feeding off other humans for their own person gain. They have no interest in assimilating, or contributing - they only want to do whatever they can to make money. Yes, there are bad people in amongst the good.

I was not yelling. THIS IS YELLING. Just so we're clear.

Ha, ha. I do not not hate people, for goodness sake. I have been in therapy the last four years trying to find boundaries on how not to give everything of myself and to stop giving all my time to strangers other than my own family. You couldn't be more wrong about me. And I do believe your story. Gosh, it seems like you have had to defend yourself over and over to the point where you think everyone is attacking you.

I'll say this: I'm not even an American. Yes, I am concerned about what is going on. Because what is going on is wrong.

I am a Canadian. Let me tell you how opening the borders is working for us. How the police are so busy escorting and carrying luggage for people ILLEGALLY crossing the border. Trudeau is moving these people to hotels and homeless shelters displacing Canadian citizens until there is no room for our own citizens. How does this help anyone? He has only amplified a problem we have in our own country. He is giving these people an allowance. The people who have been spending years applying legally are bumped to the end of the line. How is this fair? Do you not see the issues at play? Because these people are getting medical and dental aid it is reducing the little money there is to go around. And my favorite? Apparently there is no money to help our veterans. So our own country can't handle its own suffering load with the bare necessities, but hey, let's open the door and make it hard for everybody and make people who already have no where to go at the best of times really have no where to go to even get out of the elements. Meanwhile the illegal immigrants are living in hotels with an allowance!! Trust me, it's easier for someone from a hot country to live on the streets year round than it is in -30, -40 degree temperatures for a good 3 months of the year and about -10 for 4 others.

Opening the borders is pure stupidity if there aren't checks and balances in place.

My ideas?
- people who are citizens of a specific country have to make the effort to make the changes.
- apply legally
- stop taking the easy way out and putting the responsibility on other people
- get rid of corrupt governments in your own country

It starts with what one can do at home. How do you think women got rights and voting rights in the past? They didn't run away, they organized, they fought back, they did what they had to do. How do you think LGBT people are getting their rights? They didn't run away. Why do you think there are coups in other countries. I don't think it's up to me or anyone else to make it better for people of another country. I am willing to help but I can only do so much as I am not a citizen.

The world isn't perfect, we don't live in a perfect existence and one cannot open the borders. If you do then a country wouldn't exist. It would be eaten alive and destroyed.

Common sense is what is lacking and being catered to.

Your Democrats in the House and Senate need to change the laws instead of endless campaigning 😎

Maybe they don't want stability because of votes ? 😎

What an interesting comment. Canada is not a nation of "whitey's". It is a wonderful mixture of every ethnic group.

We don't hate immigrants. We welcome immigrants who apply legally. Pretty simple concept.

Are you advocating just as strongly for American kids living their lives in the same conditions in the big city Ghettos in America?

Yes. I've even donated money and time to help kids in my own city. How is this even a question? Don't you help those that you can when you can?

When you post things without presenting the whole situation, or a meme so that you can elicit a negative reaction to President Trump is propaganda.

Again, it is the job of congress to take care of this for years now- which you deny. The system is absolutely overwhelmed because congress has failed to act. We are not supposed to have a dictatorship where the president has to sign executive orders to fix things that congress has had plenty ample time to do.

not all or even a majority.

So what are the majority in your opinion?

What I and the people I've spoken to are concerned about is the threat posed to the fabric of our society

That's called fear.
I don't see the threat that you see.

We don't. 20% of our population is brown. We have twice as many brown people in the US as there are PEOPLE in canada.

Now canada on the other hand, is majorly racist. Look at the complete and utter lack of diversity in your country. Bunch of racist pigs.

Still doesn't change the fact that they are here and they are kids. We shouldn't just turn away. Even if I personally don't know what to do I can't just give up and pretend they don't mater.

Are you advocating just as strongly for American kids living their lives in the same conditions in the big city Ghettos in America?

Or is your outrage limited to children who are here illegally?

When you put someone into federal custody, you(figuratively) are responsible for their care, they become a ward of the state..understand?

Nah, I've only been to canada once. I was just trying out some of that left wing, take a stat and interpret it how you want and apply it to everyone, argumentative style. I don't think canadians are any more racist than anyone else.
