Yes, sentimental tripe, for someone who is going to fight an illegal war and a pointless war, for someone who does not even believe this war is legitimate. It does not make it legitimate - just because someone you love, is deployed out there. That is what we call selfishness.

And I am a child of god, well all are, but I have love for his creation, and those Iraqis are his creation too. As are those who going to fight with the Iraqis. I see a completely illegal and pointless war, I see a war where thousands of Americans and Iraqis are dying with no due cause.

So, yes, sentimental tripe. I would say the same to those family members of those Jihadi terrorists. Human emotions mean nothing, if there is no good cause.

Yes, you will have access to the internet when you come back from ops. Your ops may last from a few days to a few weeks. The Green Zone has an area set up just like the CRC's stateside. I understand your feelings about the war and applaud you for doing your duty anyway.
Whether you think we are there for the right or wrong reasons know I hope you find a way to both stay alive and satisfy your sense of moral duty.
I hope you will post here upon returning as I suspect you might change your mind once over there. Either way you are doing your duty, and honoring your family and your country, the fact that you object to this war only makes your service that much more meaningful.
