Well, India is fed up with Iranian aggression against oil tankers, Exxon Mobile in Iraq, and now shooting down drones. They are deploying some ships to escort and maintain the safety of their Indian flagged vessels. I honestly cannot wait to see what in Iran explodes like Tianjin from USA retaliation. I hope its even yuuuuuger!

Indian Navy Executes OP Sankalp
Posted On: 20 JUN 2019 6:48PM by PIB Delhi

Indian Navy has deployed, in the Gulf of Oman, to re-assure Indian Flagged Vessels operating/ transiting through Persian Gulf and Gulf of Oman following the maritime security incidents in the region.

IN Ships Chennai and Sunayna have been deployed in the Gulf of Oman and Persian Gulf to undertake Maritime Security operations. In addition, aerial surveillance by IN aircraft is also being undertaken in the area. The Information Fusion Centre - Indian Ocean Region which was launched by the IN in December 2018 at Gurugram, is also keeping a close watch on the movement of ships in the Gulf region.

After a holistic review of the situation, DG Shipping has issued two advisories on 13 and 16 June 2019 to all Indian Flagged Vessels operating in the Strait of Hormuz and Persian/ Arabian Gulf Region advising Indian Flagged ships to undertake appropriate protection measures.

Indian Navy remains committed to ensuring safety of Indian maritime trade and merchant vessels operating in the region and contributing towards maintaining a stable and peaceful Indian Ocean Region.

click the first image, I hide my links in pictures too! They will take you straight to the Indian Navy spokesman twitter account, with a link to the actual Indian navy website press release. That was all from the press release.

If you see me posting images and no links, click the images!

Hmmm

Oil man
Did Iran not just discover a untapped oil field worth an estimated 50$ billion last year?!?
I wonder if this has anything to do with this. And then you have EXXON crying right now.

I am not so keen to cheer about individual countries aggression. Or really any armed conflict.
But I cannot condone the USA for standing as an individual voice and power in this world.

Thanks for the link.

As I am reading this India is merely trying to provide security for it's own vessels and are pretty much neutral on the US - Iran thingy. Did I miss something?

More likely they don't want any Mossad-CIA trickery on their ships.

It says right there in their opening statement

following the maritime security incidents in the region.

What exactly other maritime security incidents have gone down not involving Iran's aggressive actions against the commercial interests of foreign companies, and now military assets as well in the region?

That statement could mean a whole host of things. And they are smart to make one such as that.
But you have you own view on this and look at it from a very subjective view as you always do. And that’s ok, as you own it and are often correct. But in my opinion you are overlooking the money shot.

Sounds about right. Indian wants to provide reassurance to its vessels...

Wonder how many other nations will follow suit...

Have they leaked any TV footage of the Made for TV Disco Dancers rioting in front of the cameras or is that out of style these days in Iran. The majority of people in that country are free loving smart and open minded. Its those religious zealots who run everything into the ground

I think people may be misinterpreting India's actions.

I think what we are seeing here, is India's way of asserting their own influence in the World, as in, Look at us now, we are an important part of the World.

Bare in mind....there is an INDIAN Ocean and a South CHINA sea....on this Human Earth....

There is No America Ocean or Sea.

As this is a Very Americanized forum, it is timely to remember that BOTH India and China are Nuclear Powers, with over
One BILLION .3 people in each country.......paling the USA to a relative minor position.

I think its time that the US warmongering Military machine, pulls its Head in, and sticks to civil defence, and keeps its big azzz out of World Affairs...........Before it blows the whole S**t up and causes a catastrophe that will be hard to control.

In other words,......other countries are getting sick of US interference, and its about time its put on a leash, before its too late for us all.

I believe that most USAnians are nice peaceful people.
