Loophole in law granting illegal immigrants driver’s licenses could lead to voter fraud

A loophole in the new law granting driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants could allow hundreds of thousands of people to fraudulently register to vote in New York, according to critics, the state Board of Elections and the bill’s own sponsor.

“[A] major concern is that many states, including New York, use their DMVs to enroll voters. Since New York does not have voter-identification laws like the majority of other states do, this bill increases the potential for voter fraud,” state Sen. Republican ­Minority Leader John Flanagan (R–Suffolk) said Tuesday.

“This means that New York will soon have the most radical, open-ended law in the entire nation.”

The Green Light Bill, which passed the Senate 33-29 Monday and was signed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, allows illegal immigrants to obtain “standard” state driver’s licenses that can be used for identification and to board domestic flights.

But it is also the sole document required to register to vote, according to officials.

New York is the latest democrat/liberal state passing laws that allow illegal immigrants to get driver's licenses. But like many other democrat/liberal states, all you need to register to vote is a driver's license.

be a United States citizen;
be 18 years old by December 31 of the year in which you file this form (note: you must be 18 years old by the date of the general, primary or other election in which you want to vote);
resident of this state and the county, city or village for at least 30 days before the election;
not be in prison or on parole for a felony conviction (unless parolee pardoned or restored rights of citizenship);
not be adjudged mentally incompetent by a court;
not claim the right to vote elsewhere.

This seems to be the "real reason" why so many democrat/Liberal states are now allowing illegals to have a driver's license, and New York was just added as yet another democrat/liberal state that does not care for American voters. They want to drown the votes of LEGAL Americans to stay in power.

It's ironic how open democrat/liberals in power are knowing full well that they want these laws so that they can get more votes. Even if it means getting votes from illegal immigrants.

It WILL lead to voter fraud and several other felonies and misdemeanors not to mention it will encourage future generations to break laws. 😧

So being able to get an identification card is easy and doesn't make it harder to vote? I wish the Dem. Leadership would make up their minds.

They could put something on a drivers license to note that the person is not a citizen. That is not discrimination. Even legal residents are not citizens, they cannot vote till they are full citizens. New York is probably purposely leaving a loophole. They want those Democratic voting resident and illegal aliens to vote for Democrats. It would be easy to fix the problem, the color of the background could even be a signal that the licensee is not a citizen. Now, legal or illegal, non-citizens cannot yet vote till they are citizens. That policy needs to be maintained or twenty million people might be voting in our country that shouldn't be. They need to scan the drivers license to make sure they are a citizen, our township has a card reader for drivers licenses and they said it rejects anyone who is not a citizen. It doesn't need to be a physical thing on the license, just scanning it could denote citizen or non citizen. It does not have to specify illegal or legal alien, just citizen or not.

The left would claim that is "unconstitutional," and that it marks illegals so they will be against doing something like that.
Democrats/liberals know that Trump will have the votes of legal Americans, and they want to do anything and everything so that one of them is chosen instead of Trump.

These people will be the total destruction of the U.S. If they get their way they will get rid of the Electoral College, and will completely change the U.S. Constitution.

I can see it now: if Trump loses then it will be blamed on illegals voting illegally. That will be an enormous "reeee" from the right. I won't be surprised if that's what happens, at all.

I am noticing your posts here spew negativity and hate and you have a lot of followers. It is sickening to watch.

Its amazing the lengths the Democrats will go to in order to keep these vulnerable people in side a gray area of our society; to keep them as second class citizens. Like DACA before this; the Democrats are doing everything in their power to make it easy for these people to work for us but never really give them the full protections that citizenship would grant them.

It's makes sense really considering that in the history of many countries, there have always been disposable people. They do the dirty work. They do the work that no one else wants to do because it's too difficult or too hazardous. You don't have to think about their welfare, you don't think about how they feel. Whole generations of disposable people strung along with token gestures like driver's licenses and indefinite deferred action. Really why should the Democrats be any different then the leaders that have come before them?

I have a feeling that you guys would reject any other outcome other than the one where Trump wins. I had front row seats to that sort of cognitive dissonance this past election cycle where the polls had my family convinced it was rigged in Hillary's favor. They said they refused to accept the result unless Trump won. As soon as Trump won, there was no way it was rigged, it was impossible and any suggesting that it was rigged was nonsense.

The same scenario will happen this time too and I havea feeling that is the entire plan from those pulling the strings. They've got you guys riled up and now they're going to put the nail in the coffin with a controversial win for whoever wins over Trump.

Just a guess, you can quote me if you want. I'll eat crow if it doesn't happen.

The "reeee" argument really has nothing to do with this since the left has been making FALSE claims and keep using FALSE claims for claiming POTUS Trump is not a good POTUS. On the other hand this is a REAL case scenario. It has already been pointed out that even in the 2008 election of Obama, it was thought that up to 5 million non-citizens could have voted for him. This opens up another loophole that will allow even illegals voting for our POTUS. Both arguments are completely different.

Are these illegals issued driving licensing having to take road tests? In Canada there's a town with a notoriously corrupt test center that all the new Chinese like to use. Their pass rate is something like 90%.
